    Just did this today, I rented the ball joint press kit form Autozone, it works just fine. I also rented the master ball joint set that helped with the install of the new ball joint, gave me a little extra clearance. Overall it went pretty smooth , I applied some torch heat to the old ball joint then press it out easily. Thanks for the video

    Ive done hundreds of pressings full time but typically shy away from super duty since you tend to need heavier equip but figured id be able to handle this one and sure enough youve demonstrated that im gonna sell this job thanks man!

    Seriously man God-bless You but you not shown us The part of the job we need to see

    The way it presses out is the exact same way it gets pressed in. Instead of the screw pushing it out its actually pulling it in. So don't think the tool has to flip to the top to install.

    I wish you could have actually shown the pulling and installation, thats what I needed to see.

    I use to do some crazy stuff to press ball joints in F250-F550 with Autozone ball joint press but I had constant trucks coming in to much trouble so I had to buy the Snap on BJP1 its a Night and Day Great Video show other people how to do it.

      The meat and taters of this job is showing how to set up the tool and how to get to the point of pressing the joint in and out. Actually showing pressing a ball joint in and out is redundant.

    Great video.
    I’d highly suggest getting an adjustable track bar. Only if that one on there is the original. It’ll handle way better.

      The adjustables just leave me uneasy. The truck was designed to have a solid link. In any case, I took the lift off the truck so its a non-issue.

      @@USAF99 I can respect that. But if I may, the icon bar I got, is made 45% stronger. And I think Bruce my 05 F250 appreciates the upgrade.
      And I also mention all of this because I replaced the ball joint 3 times. With this one, but I put the adjustable and boom. I use the duralast gold every time. This all being the issue because the track was off, and I never thought of it because I put the 2” spacers and never ever thought of what it was going to cause.

      The issue for lifted trucks isn't the track bar, it's the angle of the track bar to the drag link after its lifted. They have to be the same angle or the truck will drive like shit. A track bar drop bracket will cure everything.

      Oh man, ill let the creative department know you aren't happy with the free entertainment. Would you like a refund? Maybe a credit on another video? I will be sure to tell the guy in charge you're unhappy with our content.

    Good video. Good information. In the future, show the press chocked up on the joint so we can get a better idea of how it was all done. Maybe set the camera up facing the area of work and speed up video like a time lapse.

    I talk a lot too. Own it. I always tell people that I want to be authentic and if you ever meet me you will see that I talk a lot all the time.

    is this just a vid about bragging? the most critical parts aren't filmed!! it took me "30sec" to press it in then why not film it ??? bunch of BS

    Do you have a travk bar drop bracket with your small lift kit?

    • @USAF99
      @USAF99  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It's required if you want to keep the front axle centered under the truck!

      @@USAF99 mine has a drop bracket but driver side still sticks out i have a adjustable track bar im about o install but do I need to remove the drop bracket you think?

    • @USAF99
      @USAF99  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BigTrav310 If you have an adjustable its an easy fix. Make a mark on one of your jounce bumpers and make a mark on the center of the pad that it contacts. Line it up and your front diff should be either centered or pretty damn close. Removing the drop bracket would make it worse.

    TH-cam commercials are ridiculous.

      Not necessarily in my opinion. Without them, many channels with helpful tips or walk throughs would not exist.
