Thanks for watching - are you already familiar with Sanskrit? Leave us a comment.

Rather tedious I'm afraid to say. You got CONVID twice? Please don't also tell me that you've all had the jabs? Old Mr Maclaren must be rolling in his grave!

Very beautiful as always! I am really enjoying these annual lectures. I found them to the one of the best summary of vedanta.
They complement the books very well. I would have enjoyed one hour talk also.
    Thanks Mr Jessup!
I hope I am able to get your last two books in the US also.

And to answer your question: I am not familiar with Sanskrit, I started an attempt, but gave up 😉. You cannot separate sound and the Veda, sound is the Veda. I will do another try at some point for sure. Until then, I enjoy these great little books (translations of vedantic scriptures) from Warwick Jessup and his wife. 🙏

Thanks again for your kind words! Warwick and Elena have also produced textbooks for children which offer an easy systematic approach to Sanskrit if you get round to trying again. Lots of adults like them too!

You may find the book A Sanskrit Grammar by SJ Antoine a book for high schools.

In this book you will find the word aham as a pronoun. Not in English translation as I am which is a verbal phrase.
The conjugation of asmad which is aham is declined in seven parts. Pg 58 asmad and youshmad, Thou or you. 3rd Person tad on page 59. Demonstrative pronouns idam, adas, this, that pgs 63 64.
      Good luck with your studies.

I asked the translator for the school and the guru, if there was a simple book to learn sanskrit from. He immediately gave me this book.
