Got to say that's the most useful gardening video to me. Thanks a lot!

Thx. There’s a few tools I am going to have to add

Great video! I really liked the composted turner tool, I think I need one. A tool not mentioned that I use daily is a hori hori knife.

    1. Solid Tire on Wheel Barrel.
    2. Pitch Fork.
    3. Two wheel Dolly with air tires.
    4. Weeding hoe.
    5. Compost bins.
    6. Digital PH meter.
    7. Weed puller.
Just threw some of mine up. Yes this could go on forever.

I thought for sure you would have broad fork! I gets that’s more for clay soils. They are less expensive than rototillers, and don’t break down!

I don't use a rototiller either. I don't do much turning of my soil. When I feel the need to I just use my digging fork like a broad fork.

I don't really need more than the heavy garden rake for raking, but I love my broadfork and it is often being loaned out to others who love my broadfork! I'm also a fan of soil blockers, which help me to avoid plastic and which are healthier for the transplants, since they are "air pruning," and since I transplant, I also like a bulb transplant tool - this is a trick I learned from my mentor - the bulb transplanter is much faster than a hand trowel when it comes to transplanting into the beds. Everyone has their favorite hoe. I have not tried an arrowhead hoe, but we do have a dutch hoe, which has similar movement and is my husband's favorite. My favorite is the scuffle hoe (also known as a stirrup hoe). I also like a wire weeder, which is easier to use to weed around crops without damaging them. A hand wire weeder is available through Johnny's Seed, and I made my own long handled wire weeder.

Awesome! Those all sound like great tools to have!

I enjoyed your list, too! I especially love following your farm, because in addition to your sharing the same sustainability values, I am also zone 6a and in Ohio... though I am up by the great lake! 😄 Thanks again for your wonderful videos!

Any suggestions on where to buy the weed killers? I usually shop Lowes or HD and they don't seem to carry them.

Yeah I'm having a hard time finding them too. I discovered just recently that the company that sells them is out of business. There are a few knock-off brands out there.

Your Amazon link to the winged weeder links to something different. Do you happen to know where I can find the winged weeder?

Unfortunatly since I filmed this video I've learned that the company that makes them has gone out of business. I'm looking for an other source. If I find them I will let you know.

How does the winged weeder work? Do you have a link where you use it, if not, can you do a video about it? Thanks!

I don't have a video on it. I will try to put something together next week.

It seems to me that these large rakes may bend during operation....

I do have a pair but I really don't use them often. Just once a year when I'm doing heaving pruning on my fruit trees.
