It's criminal how underrated this show is. I only just now heard about it and began watching the series a week ago! The production value, soundtrack, and performances are top notch.
+ninondoGigantor Except GoT's best moments come straight from the books, Black Sails doesn't have that luxury (and neither will GoT this season, so we'll see how far the quality drops now that D&D are in charge).
They were clearly talking about their exploits (Flint was clearly much more ruthless than Blackbeard in the show), besides it was literally explained that Flint was at a disadvantage in that fight due to the circumstance as he had just returned from being marooned, starved and dehydrated.
jinxandonyx Binge watched it this weekend. I'm so depressed that I'll have to wait 8-9 months for season 3! Atleast I have GoT to look forward to each week for a while.
Hey Starz, no one else is commenting, so I have a favour to ask - can you do a tribute to the pirate Edward Kenway, have him getting wasted with a couple wenches on either arm. That'd be kinda neat. ....*tumbleweed*
That's a great idea. They'd probably need Ubisoft's permission to mention his name, but it would be cool if they got someone to dress up like him as an easter egg.
Real = Charles vane , 'calico' jack rackham, anne bonney, Benjamin hornigold, Ned low, Edward 'Blackbeard' teach and woods rogers Treasure island = James flint, Long john silver, billy bones, israel hands and ben gunn

The most underrated show

Should've added Ben Hornigold to the list as well seeing as he's a pretty important person in this period in history.
He’s probably the most important of them.
He’s the guy that actually developed the Pirate Republic.
Then he stabbed them in the back.
Black Sails is by far the best show on TV, the twists and turns keep you gripped. Wipes the floor with Game of Thrones!
That's far imo it's GOT then BS. Have you seen GOT BRUH
+ninondoGigantor Except GoT's best moments come straight from the books, Black Sails doesn't have that luxury (and neither will GoT this season, so we'll see how far the quality drops now that D&D are in charge).
plushdogg124 hell yeah.
Keith Bennett I was just thinking the same thing; re: GoT... Black Sails is The Bomb
@@plushdogg124 Pretty far drop by the looks of it, unfortunately.
As a direct descendant of Buccaneers and still living in the Bahamas and a native of New Providence, I am glad the world loves our history.
We have an amazing history. We should promote it more often.
Yes I will buy some Rum and Drink it on Nassau Bahamas soon! 😁👍
Considering y'all was the only ones sick of British tyranny and did something about it, respect.
Flint is my favourite on the show, he's just awesome.
6 years later and I still want a season 5! 😭🤣
I love it so much. I liked the ending too. They should continue with treasure island with pirates searching for Flint's teasure.
Let's be honest, after season 2, Jack Rackham is the best pirate on the show xD (Or luckiest..)
+TheGreatSwayne I prefer John Silver he is also very luckky
Best pirate when he white flag to W.Rogers ?
one of the best tv shows ever.
Feels like I'm about to start an AC (Assassins creed) mission/intro
Absolutely love this show. IMO, right up there with Game of Thrones as best show on TV
shares the spot with Deadly Class and Breaking Bad tho
Still waiting for that Treasure Island spin-off
😂 me too! 🤞
I loved that Japanese guy :( 💘
"Blackbeard was a child to Flint". Seriously?! Blackbeard almost killed him!
Clint Barke after starvation and no water drinking if you saw the episode you will understand,if flint was 💯 blackbeard have no chance
Well you’re both right and wrong. It was just clear that Flint was a better shot than a swordsman. A battle with swords, Black Beard was sure to win.
alb0zfinest have you seen the episode?a prime Prime flint will kill blackbeard instantly,in fight with israel hands he show us how much powerful is
"Blackbeard was a child to Flint" is a quote from Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.
They were clearly talking about their exploits (Flint was clearly much more ruthless than Blackbeard in the show), besides it was literally explained that Flint was at a disadvantage in that fight due to the circumstance as he had just returned from being marooned, starved and dehydrated.
What a bunch of beautiful men. I want to watch the movie now.
it's a tv show and it true that the men are beautiful and also brutal
☠️ Long john silver ☠️
This show is amazing!
Best show I've seen in fuk'n years, I love it!
jinxandonyx Binge watched it this weekend. I'm so depressed that I'll have to wait 8-9 months for season 3! Atleast I have GoT to look forward to each week for a while.
Outstanding! Thanks for posting!!!
Holy Shit Billy looks like Daniel Tosh in the thumbnail 😂😂😂
what about Blackbeard? Eduard Teach? He's still notorious!
From what I know he is coming in season 3
When that video was made he wasn't mentioned ever in show.
They saved his character in the future season, at the time this video was made he was basically a off screen character
He wasn't present in season 1.
hated jack. now hes like my favorite character
Hah! Won't see Silver with a peg leg will we? Spoiler alert!
Justice!
Last episode includes anther important history character..Very important for Anne...
Apparently the two crossed knives on the flag are for Anne and Mary.
Aren't those the guys in AC4 Black Flag
Yes they are
Magistrate's Court.
the last season's last episode is all it's about, nothing else :
Good is bad and bad is good
Right is wrong and wrong is right
Talking from the perspective of a season 2 audience I say Captain Flint is an asshole you just love
There were actually a good number of female pirates throughout history (not just Anne Bonney).

And he will be a beautifully wrapped and decorated easter egg :)
Adam Miller Get tha fook outta here this is black sails not AC nigga
no
Charles Vane, Jack Rackhm, Anne Bonney, but where's Benjamin Hornigold? Or even better, Mary Read?
Benjamin Hornigold was here, but he wasn't mentioned in the video.
Mary Read was at the very end of the show as "Mark Read" lol
Reign of King George the 1st. 1 August 1714 - 11 June 1727

So if Vane and Rackham were real, was anne?
liachel08 yes
Real = Charles vane , 'calico' jack rackham, anne bonney, Benjamin hornigold, Ned low, Edward 'Blackbeard' teach and woods rogers
Treasure island = James flint, Long john silver, billy bones, israel hands and ben gunn
Though, Eleanor Guthrie was not a real person from history, the Guthrie family was, and dealt in trade with pirates.
Yes
@@kogs1233 Israel Hands was a real pirate, the Treasure Island character was named after him.
Anne's character is terrible, but the actress kills it, so it evens out.
❤
Where's captain hook
haha ... les pirates...

I stopped to watch this show, as it was utterly unrealistic
