I've had a Casio Pathfinder for probably 6 or 7 years now. I still have not had to replace the battery in it and its also solar. It is a great watch. I'm assuming the two are very comparable.
I had the green version and returned it right away. The display is absolutely crap. You cannot read it all. Changed it to the black with positive display and totally happy with it.
Yes, they are. I'd say the biggest weakness of this particular watch is the negative display. Other than that, it is fantastic. Thanks so much for watching!
Mip can't do the compass overlay. So they went with a dual layered screen to enable that feature. MIP would have trouble with the rotation of the compass.

I would imagine. I love the simplicity yet functionality of these watches. All of my "smart" watches require a charge daily or every few days!
I wish the green one came with a positive display.
Same. That's probably my biggest complaint.
@@rb2112 I just got my hands on the newest Rangeman GPR H1000. It has a high-contrast MIP display and is SO much better. Will be reviewing it soon!
You are awesome my friend ! And i just got a mudman 9500 inspired by this video !
Sweet!! Thanks for watching!
**I am jotting this product information down to my holiday wish list. ** Excellent product review. And great video editing on your review.
Thank you, buddy! Glad you got some info from it.
Im considering buying a black and green one and swapping the modules. The green would be perfect with the positive display.
THAT is a fantastic idea!

I can not understand why Casio keeps making these negative displays which most of the time one can't make out the numbers.
Yes, for the price it’s a bit of a disappointment. I still like the watch, though.
Hi I am a UK viewer of your video. Nice Review! Are the alarms audible, often a major weakness on G Shocks? many thanks

@@OutLan Thank you for your reply.
我喜欢你的这个分享视频,我也买了GW-9500-1
If only it was readable!!!😢
I know. Hopefully, they'll correct this in the next version.
👍💪💪
If u want to see any of the displays foget it. Its no good.
I tend to agree after more use. The Rangeman is much better.
My Protrek has the same display but its MIP which is super clear & bright, I really dont know why the 9500 doesn't?!?!
@@bodie463 I know. I also got the Rangeman GPRH-1000 and it does have MIP. Review coming soon for that one.

@@ThePlaiibox Thanks for the clarification on that. Makes total sense now. I do really like that feature.
Thank you for doing a real life Ware of this watch. Taking it out in the real world refreshing review
Thank you so much for watching and the nice comment!
growing up in the late 90s early 2000s i always likes these old school looking g shock watches.
They are fun. I love watches in general. These big chunky G-Shocks are still awesome to me, even if there are maybe better options out there.
Thank you for honest review
My pleasure 😊
It’s a great watch
It definitely is. Thanks for watching!
Just wondering how often do you catch a signal in Texas?
I'm in Ohio, so can't really speak to Texas. But if you have radio/cell availability you should be good. The watch syncs nightly via radio.

I'm in TX. I have a couple of multiband 6 g shocks, and they all rcv the signal nightly.
