Congratulations treborrr, you've been choosen as the winner of the airbrush setup. Please contact me at my email in the the description below the video so I can get your info, Robert
@@barbatosrex9473 Just my luck, I finally win something and I can't accept :D I should've added that I'm not in the states and thus not eligible. But at least I can make someone happy by giving them another chance at the price :)
Merry Christmas! I hope your wife's recovery is doing well, and I appreciate your thoroughness with paint reviews. I don't buy paint anymore without watching your tests nowadays! You've built a great community of airbrush/model kit enthusiasts, and I'm glad to be a part of it.
Starting building again to stay sober. It’s been 5 years and now I build with my 4 year old son. Your videos convinced me to finally start airbrushing as soon as I can get a set up. Thank you for all the content and positivity you bring to the hobby. Your channel really is the best.
By far, Mr Color/Mr Hobby are my favorite paints. I've tried them all. Been building scale models close to 65 years now. What I love most about the Mr Color paints is the fast drying time, and the durable finish. They hold up to paint masking better than any other paints I know of. Huge color range. Very fine pigments. Spray through my airbrush trouble free, with the Mr Hobby Leveling Thinner 400 being a must-have ite, it slows down the drying time a bit so that the paint has time to settle and self-level.
Good day Sir. Merry Christmas. I turn 50 years old in February. I used to do models when I was younger. i have just got back into the hobby. I am almost done with a 1/32 scale F4 Phantom. The plane my Father flew in Vietnam. I just completed the an O2, the plane he died in back in 1980. So most of what I do has a meaning for me. Now I need to learn how to use an Airbrush. Thanks to you and your channel. What you do on your channel is second to none. I have enjoyed and learned so much from watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
That's a bold move, putting give a way in the video title. Thanks for answering the questions! I paint with acrylics for miniature painting, and I'm still hesitant to try solvent based paints, but when I do, it will be because of this channel! Thanks for all of your reviews, Robert, as well as making painting accessible for everyone!
My wife blames you for my recent hobby tool spending spree. When she thinks I am going overboard, I show her images of your hobby room and I don't look so OCD. Merry Christmas, and keep up the good work!
Just getting back into model building and I’m amazed at how the hobby has changed since I was a kid. Now that I’ve retired I’m looking to try creating diorama’s this time and your money saving tips have inspired me even more. Really like how you point out that many of your tools can be found locally in hobby lobby and small shops. Thanks for all the great reviews and suggestions keep them coming. 🇺🇸
Merry Christmas Everyone.... I'm home recovering from surgery after cancer, I think I've watched every video you have put out. Thanks for helping me get back into the hobby
Same here buddy. 12 weeks of chemotheraphy after my surgery was giving a lot of time to see many video,s. And helped me passing that bad time in a more pleasant way, time was flying everyweek. Learned in the 1.5 year i have been following this channel more than i would be learning in 10 years. 2th wednesday of januari bloodtests again. And i hope you will be having good results at your medic-controls also like me. And hope, you, others and me can ring:The i am cancer free bell soon.
@@janvanrenselaar5998 this is great news (your presence and newfound skills in the hobby but more importantly done with the chemo leg if your joirney). Def praying for you both with that bell being the a milestone for sure. Enjoy and bless your families and friends today, yea!?journey. Praying for the 2nd week of January-- keep us posted
@@thurow37 Thank you a lot. The last 2 bloodtests were excelent and the good numbers were increasing. Although i am still very fast wasted i am happy sofar that it is over and not on the chemo these days. But the most important is that there is a lght at the tunnel. And that i can carry on with my life further with the knowledge that i don,t have that disease anymore. The doc told me:The road is long, but where you are clear, there is a new road ahead of you,and that road will learn you to love and enjoy your life more, and you will appriciate all kinds of small things more and more. But with the video,s from Robert,it was for me more easy.Because when you watch the video,s, your mind is at another place, not in the bad place anymore. I thought sometimes. He i am gonna try this next week when i feel a bit better. Thanks to this video,s i started expirementing also with diff paints, nails polish etc. It was a great help for me and for my family. Because it was giving me the motivation to do something next week, when the worse days were over and whitinn 2 days, those worse days were comming back again. It was like a support or mental theraphy for me. I will keep you updated.
After two winners that did not collect, I'm feeling lucky, Barbatos. I don't know how I missed this one, but I did. I'm so glad I listened to this video and not because there was still a chance to win something. You mentioned what got you started with your own line of paints and you mentioned the Model Master series by Testors and how Rustoleum bought Testors out and then ended that line. Other than MRC Tamiya paints, I loved the Model Master Series when I was painting and building and that struck a chord with me. Especially so, since I am getting back into painting and building for dioramas and miniatures. As to anti-static measures, again, I used to be in semiconductor manufacturing and ESD (electro static discharge) issues could destroy chips. We used to have to clip ourselves to the machines or tables where we worked. This was just 'plugging' in to the surface with a grounding strap attached to our wrist. For parts, you could probably get away with attaching an alligator clip on each end of a 3' or so line, clip one end to the model and the other end to the booth or surface where you're working and that should reduce or eliminate static buildup while working on them (building or painting). Just a thought that might help. Thanks again and I'm so glad you had a couple folks who couldn't collect the give away -- it made me realize that I hadn't watched this one.
Robert, your videos are beloved by the entire world of modeling and paint. I am sure by now you know we all come to your channel when looking for what to buy and what to stay away from. Well done my man. Never change and the world is your oyster. :) P.S. Dream Theater is the best. *Bangs head on desk*
I have a suggestion, the HG Age 1 Normal(and the units that are based off of the Normal(not the arm and leg varients) there are two or three varients). I LOVE the age 1 normal and its varients because it practically SCREAMS "Paint me" with its color seperation. I suggest you check it out.
Thank you for sharing soo much with us. Thank you to Gaahleri for making some amazing airbrushs. Wishing everyone a very safe, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas. Everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏
Merry Christmas! VERY good Q & A series. It's refreshing to watch someone who is confident in the product they are discussing. I have been an acrylic only painter but am starting into mini figure models and am going to keep this video available for reference as most of these companies I have never heard of but as I said, someone who is confident in their product is who I am going to trust! Thank you.
Merry Christmas! Your channel has been an amazing resource for helping me expand my hobby from just brushes and rattle cans to dipping my toes into air brushing.
I'm 67 and getting back into the hobby after over almost 54 years. On your comments I already purchased a timbertech compressor and the NEOECO airbrush! But could really use a paint booth. I hope you, your wife and everyone else has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!
Merry Christmas Robert. Your Q&A was a terrific idea. I learned a great deal about modeling tonight. Your knowledge is very extensive and it is great that you are willing to share with all of us. You are the guru of u tube testing
I've got the large pace booth, compressor and the swallowtail airbrush. This airbrush is awesome! Have a Merry Christmas to you and your family. Good luck to the person who receives all these goodies.
Your videos have helped me get into airbrushing after 30 years. Mind you i wish I had the amazing knowledge and skills you have. Though one can still make do with a $30 Amazon airbrush and a cardboard home made spraybooth, just need to put some fans in it. Hoping to one of these days get a waterfall one. Thank you from a paralyzed vet who you have gotten back into modeling. Keep safe Razor
What’s the first thing I should do with a new airbrush should I run some cleaner through it go through and clean it I’ve already learned so much watching your videos Merry Christmas and keep on spraying
Thank you for reviewing all the different hobby product and tools. And thank you for the Q&A's. The ever rising cost of the hobby has hit hard for this retired old man ,so my selection of things that work is important.
I just want to let you know that I am very happy to be able to invite you and all of your great efforts to make this hobby so much more awesome, into my house weekly. The fact you are making waves to get in contact or recognized from manufacturers to collaborate or test their products is very helpful . Being that your thoughts are truly valuable to us all. Keep it metal and true. 🤘
Merry Christmas! I found your channel earlier this year and have been watching ever since. I just got into model building again in the last year or so. Built some models for my son when he was little but life got in the way and had to quit due to time. Now I am retired and have the time to do it again and I am really enjoying it. I am not much of a painter so I have learned a lot from watching your videos. Thanks for all that you do and I hope you get to 100,000 subscribers soon.
I'm always impressed by how you keep everything organized and remember what products are best for which products! I'd love to see a spreadsheet of your test results. So much knowledge in one hobby channel!
Merry Christmas! Pray all is well with your family. Just retired and restarted my hobbie of building cars. Your videos are helping me introduce me to whats new. Tx for the help.
The question of the hardest model you ever did brought back memories. I was something like 12 or 14 (52 now,I may have been even younger as I forget anymore) and my grandfather had a USS Constitution Old Ironsides ship. I forget what brand it was but it was like 2-2.5' long and about as tall. That took me a good while to finish especially trying to run all the ropes and hang the plastic sails. Didn't have an airbrush back then so had to do everything by brush as mother didn't want the spray smell all through the house...haha. After looking around it was the 1:96 Revell kit and was 32" long. Looking at Ebay and the prices, wish I still had that kit in the box yet.
51:50 About the Mr Hobby Acrysion paints… I have to 100% agree! I bought a bunch of that stuff just to give it a try, and I absolutely hate it. The flat colors are ok, and tend to be acceptable when it comes to airbrushing. But the gloss colors are a nightmare. I have a VERY difficult trying to get a nice even spray without orange peel. In fact I find it next to impossible to get a nice smooth surface. I always end up having to wet sand and then polish the paint once it is dry. Only then can I get a nice mirror-like surface. There are so many better options than the Acrysion lineup.
Brand new to the hobby and this would literally save me. My family isnt together for the holidays and it’s been a tough year watching everyone enjoy and celebrate together. Sitting at home alone for Christmas 😢
I would like to thank you for giving me the knowledge of the different types of paint and colors. Why I subscribed to you channel was because I plan of making wooden fishing lures along with model car kits this winter. Your videos have given me the confidence to start air brushing fishing lures that I made with my wood lathe. I could very much use an air compressor and a paint booth for fishing lures and model car kits.
I enjoyed your ask/answer video. I found it very interesting and helpful. I'm just getting started back up at 72 years old after being out of the hobby for many years and things have really changed!
Crazy to believe I’ve been watching this channel for almost 2 years now I think? Wishing you all the growth!! The work you do is amazing and such a great resource for the community
I really hope this restock of the airbrush is enough to go around. They are flying! I love the Q and A and quick tips videos. (But of course I like the reviews, too). I have also found that this hobby helps me to cultivate patience-which had never been my strength.
I found your channel this year when I got the idea to start airbrushing my gunpla. You've taught me everything I needed to know and then some! And I also found it great that you're in Rhode Island area! I used to spend a lot of time in Rehoboth MA with my grandmother! We always found ourselves shopping at an Antique Mall in Providence! Anyways, thank you for making such fantastic content! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for All your videos. They got me back into the modeling hobby and my son also. Keep up the great videos and knowledge you have. Went to school with Mike portnoy from Long Beach NY. I just noticed your shirt
I've only been watching your channel for a few months, but I'm pretty sure there isn't anything you can shoot through an airbrush! Love the content and your style. Just getting back into modeling after a few decades, wow what a change. Look forward to your content. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Robert, I've been watching your channel for the last 4 months since I started airbrushing, I've learned alot about techniques and products. I like your generosity on the give aways, as it takes a special person to do that while life can be somewhat challenging at the same time, I fully understand as my mother is going through double lung cancer, expected to live 3 months as of April 2022, it is so nice to have her still here over the holidays, as I hope you, and your family stay healthy, and hang in there. Thank you, once again Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year
Thanks for all the enthusiasm for the hobby. Its been years since I had last built models, but a friend got me into 40k so I wanted to resurrect the painting aspect. Thanks to your color samples, its made it much easier to choose the right colors for my needs. I'm in interested in watching a detailed assembly and painting video showing all the tips and tricks.
Your videos are awesomely informative and absolutely keep me going in the hobby! I thank you so much for constantly giving us all this free contact and information as well as answering dozens of comments, you're one of my favorite creators on here.
Merry Christmas Robert. Another great video, thanks. Have you considered a video on masking tape products and application? It is a big part of painting and I bet you have some great tips. How about another on decal application methods, custom decal providers and decal related products. I know others have done these types of videos, but I expect your subscribers (like me) want to hear your opinions.
I gotta say I am glad to have found your channel look forward to your videos every week. Also a day late but merry Christmas and again I have to compliment the shirt absolutely one of the greatest albums of all time imo.
Merry Christmas! I am well equipped for modeling so good luck with the give away. I returned to the the hobby after 30 years and now I am teaching my 9 year old. You really have been instrumental in showing me how much the tech has improved and how to work with the new paints. I never miss a video .Have a great 2024. Maybe we will cross paths some day. I am just north of you up in Mass.
You helped me to get back to models, It's been 60 years since the last build maybe more. The changes are massive , lots of paints all I had was Testors . I 'm seeing a hi agree of detail in the models and the selection in types . Oh on the electric static no carpet in the work space, a place to ground yourself [metal desk maybe ] I think they make a mat that stops it. Well thanks for pushing me over the edge it's going to get interesting I'm sure . AS for your wife , don't get down, it will eat you up, I'm on may 16 of caner treatment an have had a lot ups an downs, but my 1st Doc said 4months, well here I am trying something God bless. [TO LONG]
Merry Christmas. Just started model building mostly gunpla and mini painting. Thanks for all your vids it’s given me a base line that has kickstarted my knowledge despite my lack of experience. It’s saved me money and time and keeps me excited about the hobby as failures are far less frustrating. Can’t wait for more vids
Walking into your shop would be like a kid in a candy store. Love all the models, paints, and tools. I have watched your Channel reviews when I’m going to purchase any hobby equipment. It’s amazing how many tools airbrushes paints etc you have reviewed for us. THANKS and Merry Christmas 😎
Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge and experience with airbrushing and all the bits and bobs that go with it. Hope you had a merry Christmas and that your wife makes a speedy recovery!
Thank you for your videos. Ever since I have gotten into painting model kits and watching your videos my paint skills have improved greatly as well saved me a lot of money. Haha thank you for all you do
Happy Christmas Robert....crazy how the channel has evolved, even a year ago I bet you would have never imagined doing a Q+A session facing the camera for x-mas. Keep swingin', x
Huh, turns out an unexpected bonus of finally remember to subscribe is that I finally see the videos before the giveaways are over, instead of well after they've expired (which has been true for most videos I've watched on this channel) It should probably go without saying, but the channel has been really helpful, please keep it going
I love those old Entex kits! Some great questions asked. Merry Christmas 🎄

I’ve been watching your videos since Covid, They have been very informative. I have returned to modeling since retiring from teaching for 30 years. I have painted historical miniatures and I am returning to car models . I do have a stash of pre 1980 kits that I need to get after. Thanks for all the tips , great help especially with paints. Merry Xmas to you and your wife.

I am 68 and just getting back into the hobby. You are a wealth of knowledge. Thank you.
The second best thing about your videos is your awesome metal shirts 🤘🏼 (my fave DT album btw)
Let's face, while I like most of their albums, this is without a doubt their best
Oh wow!! Mind if I pray for you on this lg of your journey?
Entex!! I built the large scale Lambo Countach way back in the 70's. Great memory of that kit.
Hope your wife makes a speedy recovery. Thank you for all the knowledge you share when it comes to modeling. Your reviews are very helpful.
For sure, i have a bunch of Age kits and you're right, perfect separation, it's why I bought them. I'll have to do a tour of my stash
After about 40yrs I'm getting back into the Hobby.
Man I remember buying kits from Revco and Eckards (they were drug stores back in the day).
Thank you.
The Swallowtail is Awesome .... 😮😮😮
You are the guru of
u tube testing
I learn something new every vid 🙂 Thanks!
You're welcome Rick
I've got the large pace booth, compressor and the swallowtail airbrush. This airbrush is awesome! Have a Merry Christmas to you and your family. Good luck to the person who receives all these goodies.
Your videos have helped me get into airbrushing after 30 years. Mind you i wish I had the amazing knowledge and skills you have. Though one can still make do with a $30 Amazon airbrush and a cardboard home made spraybooth, just need to put some fans in it. Hoping to one of these days get a waterfall one.
Thank you from a paralyzed vet who you have gotten back into modeling.
Keep safe
Razor
What’s the first thing I should do with a new airbrush should I run some cleaner through it go through and clean it I’ve already learned so much watching your videos Merry Christmas and keep on spraying
The airbrush is good to go. I would start out spraying water to get a feel for it and see how much comes out as you move the trigger back.
Thank you so very much so glad I found your videos hope you had a great Christmas and happy new year
Thanks!
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Merry Christmas to you and yours as well .
Thank you for reviewing all the different hobby product and tools. And thank you for the Q&A's. The ever rising cost of the hobby has hit hard for this retired old man ,so my selection of things that work is important.
Happy Holidays
I just want to let you know that I am very happy to be able to invite you and all of your great efforts to make this hobby so much more awesome, into my house weekly. The fact you are making waves to get in contact or recognized from manufacturers to collaborate or test their products is very helpful . Being that your thoughts are truly valuable to us all. Keep it metal and true. 🤘
Merry Christmas. Hope your entire family is well and enjoying this great holiday.
Hope that you and your wife will have yourselves happy holidays and a healthy new year, and thanks for all you do. 🎁
Merry Christmas, Don't need the prize. Enjoy your videos, keep up the great teaching and sharing the information that you have learned over the years.
I learned stick shift on my neighbor's Porsche 914!!!! So fun
I learned on an old Ford model N tractor. That's fun to drive too, not as much as a Porsche though.
Merry Christmas! Dream Theater is one of my favorite bands. Thanks for the Q&A along with all the helpful videos!!
That BMW 2002 is a beautiful kit, builds up superbly! You’ll love it!
This is the Only guy I watch for airbrush information , very TH-cam likable !! Great Job
I enjoy the videos getting back into the hobby after 25 years I have really learned a lot. I do appreciate it.
Love the t-shirt Robert merry Christmas dude
I would like to thank you for giving me the knowledge of the different types of paint and colors. Why I subscribed to you channel was because I plan of making wooden fishing lures along with model car kits this winter. Your videos have given me the confidence to start air brushing fishing lures that I made with my wood lathe. I could very much use an air compressor and a paint booth for fishing lures and model car kits.
Merry Christmas! 🌲♥️🌲
Thanks so much for all the info, I've been building for 60 years and you have revolutionized my enjoyment!!!
I enjoyed your ask/answer video. I found it very interesting and helpful. I'm just getting started back up at 72 years old after being out of the hobby for many years and things have really changed!
Merry Christmas to your family and hopefully you enjoy and have a great day.
Crazy to believe I’ve been watching this channel for almost 2 years now I think? Wishing you all the growth!! The work you do is amazing and such a great resource for the community
Thank you for all of the information, really helps someone who is getting back into the hobby and starting out in airbrushing.
Thank you for doing all you do for the hobby and sharing your experience with us. I do have a booth 4 airbrushs so please pass me on by.
I really hope this restock of the airbrush is enough to go around. They are flying! I love the Q and A and quick tips videos. (But of course I like the reviews, too).
I have also found that this hobby helps me to cultivate patience-which had never been my strength.
Merry Christmas to you and yours from Germany 🎄
That's great, small world
Merry Christmas to you and the wife. Nice way to give back. I have a complete set up.
I've only been watching your channel for a few months, but I'm pretty sure there isn't anything you can shoot through an airbrush! Love the content and your style. Just getting back into modeling after a few decades, wow what a change. Look forward to your content. Merry Christmas!
I am grateful for the info on booths, especially the relative sizes and multiple fans.
Merry Christmass Robert to You and Your family .
Man Merry Christmas and hope you and your family had a blessed day!!
Great time, thanks for hanging out with us. Can’t wait for all of what you have for us for 2024 & beyond. 🎊
Merry Christmas, hope all goes well for your family. I am just getting back into modeling and find your content very helpful.
Thanks for all the wonderful knowledge and information you share with the community! Never a dull video
Merry Christmas to you and your family, I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and thank you again for all you do.
Your videos are awesomely informative and absolutely keep me going in the hobby! I thank you so much for constantly giving us all this free contact and information as well as answering dozens of comments, you're one of my favorite creators on here.
Woot woot give away time!
Merry Christmas, thanks for all your reviews
Merry Christmas Robert. Another great video, thanks. Have you considered a video on masking tape products and application? It is a big part of painting and I bet you have some great tips. How about another on decal application methods, custom decal providers and decal related products. I know others have done these types of videos, but I expect your subscribers (like me) want to hear your opinions.
I gotta say I am glad to have found your channel look forward to your videos every week. Also a day late but merry Christmas and again I have to compliment the shirt absolutely one of the greatest albums of all time imo.
Great show, I'm glad someone else asked to see the translucent paints on or behind clear spoons.
[TO LONG]
Merry Christmas, thanks for all u do! ❤
Great Q & A, thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks.
Merry Christmas to you and your wife! Look forward to more of your videos!
You have a great channel and I trust in your recommendations. Thanks for all you do for the community.
Lots of good info. I don't see that airbrush on sale anymore. Oh well. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and your wife, Bob. I hope she is progressing well in her recovery. All the best to you!
Merry Christmas it's been a long year for me personally and your videos have help me get through it, thank you
Glad to help, thanks for watching and Merry Christmas to you and your family
Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge and experience with airbrushing and all the bits and bobs that go with it. Hope you had a merry Christmas and that your wife makes a speedy recovery!
Thank you for your videos. Ever since I have gotten into painting model kits and watching your videos my paint skills have improved greatly as well saved me a lot of money. Haha thank you for all you do
Happy Christmas Robert....crazy how the channel has evolved, even a year ago I bet you would have never imagined doing a Q+A session facing the camera for x-mas. Keep swingin', x
Merry Christmas. You have the best airbrushing advice. Really appreciate the channel.
I've got a Bandit firebird on my table now but I can't start back until I get some hobby tools . Thank you so much.
Thank you for the great information.
So glad I found this channel earlier this year, I'm in the middle of building my first airbrush station with your reccomendations.
Good to hear and see ya! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to everyone!
Huh, turns out an unexpected bonus of finally remember to subscribe is that I finally see the videos before the giveaways are over, instead of well after they've expired (which has been true for most videos I've watched on this channel)
It should probably go without saying, but the channel has been really helpful, please keep it going
