Daniel (Puddin') you should do a 30 minute "story time" episode where Rex has to sit quietly in the background and drink whiskey while you tell cool stories.
I just bought a 1 liter bottle of Glenmorangie Legends: The Dutac for 75$ and it is friggin amazing! Love your videos, about the best newcomer channel of the last few years!
Definitely a boom... my local shop just doubled the size of their whiskey section. Owner said it's almost as much as vodka in real estate for him. ( I guess it's common for liquor stores to have vodka as their largest section? I don't drink vodka. I wouldn't know. )
I recently got into expanding my whiskey pallet and my first bourbon was Knob Creek and then I tried Maker's Mark and I must say that I really enjoyed the Knob Creek but i found after i tried the Maker's Mark there was a dandelion after taste on the back end of the Knob Creek which I didn't notice over the brown sugar, smokey caramel the first time I tried it..And it kinda is something that I can't not taste now it's there to stay...And the Marker's Mark definitely finishes much better and is really well rounded and has become one of top 10 Bourbons as of now
Wonderful toast, Mr. Still It! End of August? No way. HVAC business owner in Southeast Georgia. Sort of busy at the moment. Offer something in the spring when I'm broke, bored, cranky and bitter. I'm sure you'll fill that class many times over. I think you're all a bit out of my league anyway. I'm just a displaced Texan stuck in Georgia after the military barfed me back out into society. Look forward to hearing how the class goes. I know it'll be awesome.
I first seen Daniel on the modern rogue. I have been drinking bourbon for over 10 years but I have always mixed it with Pepsi. Because of this Channel I started trying it over ice. But I struggle to find all these flavors you guys describe. What am I doing wrongm
You're not doing anything wrong. For awhile, your tongue is only going to experience the most dramatic things like high alcohol and wood flavors. It takes awhile for your brain to start turning those into background noise and give you access to the things behind it. Just takes practice. Keep it up!
Hi guys, great show! I hope you will test all whiskey from all over the world! :) I have a strange question. Today I have visited one of the biggest supermarkets in my town and I found some good deals. There was this guy, very friendly, really helpful, that shared with me some interesting piece of information. He said that if you: 1) take a piece of pineapple, 2) season it with black pepper, 3) chew it really well, 4) wait for three minutes, and than drink whisky (now I don't remember if he specified it to be scotch or bourbon) you will taste dark chocolate. I don't think I will try it, because I hate pineapple and black pepper, but does it makes sense to use such tricks to force whiskey to taste in some strange ways?
This one's weird, but I do know that pineapple is one of the only fruits that completely screws up your tastebuds. Pineapple has bromelain which is effective at breaking down proteins, but also completely screws with your tongue's interpretation of flavors for a chunk of time.
With that robe.. I just feel Rex needs to wear a turban with a gem and feather in it *The Great Rexdini, and for his next trick he will make all the whisky disappear
okay i have this wikey that i have been sitting on for two years and im not going to crack open the cask for another 23 years but tell me if you think it will tern out good the barell is black oak i used to fermint and store mead in it then i gave it a nice char the mash is 3% rye ,30% quinoa, 50% corn, 10% rice and 7% barley and to top it all of i smoked it with sphagnales moss it whent in the cask at 89% but was suprisingly smooth it was like it had tones of butter, carmel, peper and like sour apple and gramcrackers so that the hunny and the smokey after tast is what im guessing it will taste like so does that sound like somthing or is it going to be shit
yea today i tasted it the first time i tasted it it burnt like it was mad at me you know but now its smooth and tastes like i put like five pounds of honey n it and its now 85 percent so i'm going to put it in a chard Cheri barrel and hopefully you can taste the hickory and Cheri and it wont be over powered by honey (one other thing why dose it taste biskity is it because i didn't malt the barley?)
Thats a good story but there is another detail which makes it even better, the guy who started the glenlivet was George Smith and he applied for a licence to distill- this meant keeping records and paying taxes. Most other distillers won't do this but they ould sell their product under the glenlivet name so buyers would think it was lawfully produced.
I have a question not directly related to this video: What is the best way to figure out the age of an old dusty bottle? Is there a resource that shows what labeling and packaging looked like through the years for iconic liquors? I ask this because my late father didn't drink very often (and when he did, it was almost exclusively Gentleman Jack) but was frequently being given gifts of bottles of whiskey by well-meaning relatives back in the 1980s-90s. Most of those bottles got tucked away in a beautiful liquor cabinet and were never opened. I have taken some pictures of them for reference, and might open a couple out of curiosity next time I visit my mom (she's 600 miles away though), but my curiosity is spinning. related: is there any kind of secondary market value for unopened 30 year old bottles (but not 30 year AGED/barreled, because I know there's a difference, it doesn't age/improve in the glass, etc)?
Daniel and I are in the process of opening our own distillery, which will be a great resource for the schools Whiskey Sommelier program. (they can get hands on experience with whiskey making)
Sorry Daniel i wont be making it to the vault today. Change of plans that required me to come back before i could stop by. I will though make it to the vault soon.
no worries, Keith. It actually worked out for the best. Daniel had an unexpected issue that would have prevented him from meeting you anyways. Looking forward to next time!
To be honest, I much preferred the old ceremony with party hard. On the video class: As someone who very briefly internet stalked Rex(not really, but I googled enough to find some of his work), I can verify that this dude is for real, and he's the guy you would want teaching this class.
Thank you Mr. Patrick, I had asked and you provided...and as always, thank you Puddin' Knob and MoochasaurusRex for all the whisk[e]y critiques and sarcasm :))
So the bill was passed in 1823, but Glenlivet was licensed in 1824. But I found Auchentoshan was "founded" in 1823. You said Glenlivet, or George Smith was the first to license a legal distillery in Scotland... Can you explain this?
Hello Gents! Been following the channel a few weeks and just subbed the other day. Started as a Bourbon drinker but have since come to love any and all Islay! Anyways, been looking for a specific whiskey and oddly enough, think I spotted it in the background is this video. Is it true!? Have I spied Stranahans Colorado Whiskey?!
You guys wanna try some whisky from The Arran distillery? I just had their 1998 single cask. It was sharp and wooden at the begining of the bottle (wich i like), and was smooth at the end. I'm really curious about the rest of their range. Thanks for the good work.
I know you guys weren't too gung-ho for the Mackmyra on offer, but have you ever tried Hven's Seven Stars Alioth single malt from Sweden? It comes in an erlenmeyer shaped, wax-dipped bottle. Bought it recently at Systembolaget and would be interested in hearing your thoughts. There are a couple different expressions from Hven but I've only ever tried this Seven Stars. Sláinte!
Also, I can totally vouch that Rex is actually a bit of a genius in disguise when it comes to video/youtube. I'm a noob to this stuff but have done a fair bit of research into it. Not enough to be good myself, but enough to recognise people that do. It's obvious you know your stuff dude, you can't hide that behind a shitty robe and weird ass necklace ;) Wish I could be there. Being stuck in NZ sucks some times!
Also, thanks. You're actually better than 90% of people starting out. Your lighting is usually really good. Your audio is ok. Your on-camera presence is solid. The multiple camera angles? I'm sure it adds to your production time, which is a pain in the ass - but it helps bring people deeper into your world / process. Your thumbnails are really good. An argument could be made for putting your face in the thumbs (helps people form a bond with you), but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You're doing good work, Still It. If its sustainable and fun... keep it up!
Rex thanks dude. Have a bunch of stuff to improve on. And gear to eventually get if I can ever justify it. Thanks for the advice/assessment dude. For now it's motivation to actually do some distilling and work on things. Perhaps one day it could be more :)
Have you ever tried the Balblair 03? It's a single malt, double cask Scotch Whisky. My boss and I disagree on this one, he loves it but I feel like it is too young, it lacks in maturity. I would love to hear your opinions and to prove my boss wrong (again)
My gf says she wishes you guys did the ceremonies when I sent my donation. I tell her it doesn't bother me bc "a few of us been sending whiskey before it was cool". ;-) PS We really need to get you that shirt I showed you since you dropped the line. It's just so fucking perfect.
What are your thoughts on buying whiskey from UK distributors like Masters of Malt and the Whiskey Exchange. They have lots of amazing whiskies I can't get locally, or even in the U. S. for some. I'd like to try it out but haven't bc my state doesn't allow alcohol delivered. Can these UK companies do it bc Total Wine won't deliver whiskey to me.
Whiskey Vault Really? Once a month? I'm def getting something today then. I've chatted with them on their website and they seem real professional. I want to use it for the selection bc they literally have just about everything. I love that you can order a sample and put together sample packs too. It'll give me an opportunity to try some really rare whiskeys I couldn't afford otherwise. Love that!
I think a stock pre-taped generic Donation Ceremony clip a la The crazy eagle mooch stuff might be sufficient. :) You could add the donator's name in post-production. So sayeth I and my Privateers.
I sayeth that's a good idea that we've considered... but it'll only work if donators don't feel short changed. do you think it'd feel less special if a donator didn't get a ceremony, and instead got their name in an epic, over the top eagle animation? (or something comparable)
I am drinking 30 year old port wine from my grandfather in law, in a basement recording studio, binging this until I finally catch up. circa Jan, 2019.
A question that has puzzled me for a bit: A number of scotch whiskies are aged in used bourbon barrels. But bourbon is a relatively newer spirit historically than scotch whisky. So what did Scottish distilleries use before there was a great supply of used bourbon barrels? And that must mean that today's scotch whiskies are different in character from their historical versions from a 100+ years ago, correct?
Yes, barrel aging only showed up in scotland a few hundred years after it was first made. Traditionally it was a clear spirit like vodka or moonshine. When they did use barrels, it was mostly wine barrels.
my friends 21st birthday is coming up soon and neither of us have much whiskey experience whats a bottle i could buy that would be great for relaxing and playing video games
Hey Puddin' Have you tried Vulson White Rhino? I've been dipping my toes into rye whiskey like you suggested to me so long ago and I've been enjoying them and when I was doing a bit of research I stumbled upon a blog post on the Whisky Exchange taking about it. From their write up it seems like a really interesting spirit and I'll probably be picking up a bottle. ~Dave Michelle Rahn
Can you guys review the Irish whiskey Bushmills line? I'm interesting to see how you guys think of their basic line, 10yrs and the Black Bush line. Also, how we go about sending you bottles for review?
beter way to put it danial : to great scotch rex : good friends together: for the audience and nobpudin sorry that the first one was a little confusing
So time to get nerdy, Rex you can take a back seat for this one, in my quest to further develop my knowledge of all thing Whisk(e)y I've taken to book learnin'. I have recently completed "Bourbon: The Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of an American Whiskey" and "And a Bottle of Rum: A History of the New World in Ten Cocktails" (the latter being not of Whisk(e)y I know but of the pirates brew that fondles my tiddly bits ever so nicely). So my question laid bare, pardon my colorful words I was just reading The Divine Comedy and can't help but wax poetics about some shit, are there any books that you could recommend on the subject or in a preferable form audible books as I have a long commute to work and am eager to enlighten my travels?
When are you going to review the old pulteney 12 and springbank 10? These are my 2 favorite entry single malt, most of the time i have one in my cabinet. :D Have a great weekend btw! Proost!
Yah, VidCon is great for fans, creators, and aspiring creators to meet up and celebrate TH-cam. Lots of basic tips. Maybe even find another channel to collaborate with. The Wizard Academy class is aimed at helping busy professionals / brands / businesses use video more effectively. No panels. Lots of high level guidance, combined with detailed examples and practical steps. All aimed at producing good videos - efficiently (it takes us 90 minutes to produce a weeks worth of video content)
May have been the bottle of Genlivet 12 that I got, but I founder's reserve to be nicer. At least prior to binging on this channel and exploring a bottle of Marker's 46 into kind of crazy levels because working from home gives me too much free damn time and I can stumble from bed to work desk in the morning in under 10 minutes from waking up. Lol.
Daniel you need to make a video series where you just tell stories about the history of scotch and all your random stories that rex finds boring haha they're really interesting
Hey Daniel (Puddin), Rex love watching your whisk(e)y reviews. I currently stay up to 2am to watch your videos because I live in Sydney, Australia. I’m a big fan of all the reviews you guys do and really appreciate your helpful incite and unique (shit talking) perspective you have, which makes me want to stay up soo late just because you are both so entertaining! :) Daniel do you know about any Australian Whisk(e)y’s? I would love to see an Aussie Whisk(e)y on the channel maybe ill send you one in the future…??
We'd love to have one sent! I have two right now. The Starward malt, and a malt called "Big Black Cock Single Malt" from Queensland. be careful when you google it. :-) Thanks for watching!
Whiskey Vault i request the 2nd whiskey and with a name like that it should be bumped to the front of the line or next time rex picks he needs to take one for the team.
I’ve heard of Starward But not "BBC" haha would you say Starward is beginner Level? And there is an amazing Australian company called Limeburner’s the makes some crazy nice whisk(e)y’s, definitely recommend looking into if your interested?
Fellow Sydney-sider! (I live on the Central Coast but i work in the city) How goes it?? I did a whiskey tasting at the Oak Barrel a few months ago, was great and highly recommend. I had a Bakery Hill Peated (Melb dist.) which was delicious if you like a bit of smoke.
There was a more recent one than that, I remember seeing it not long ago where you said what each of the section were, including the "s*** I don't have room for" whisk(e)ys. I'll go through and try to find it, if I do I'll edit this with a link.
Since I already signed up and paid full price for the Level 1 Class can I sign up for the whiskey tasting class then get half off of the the video class and the Level 1 class since technically the tasting class is before the other 2? If so the tuition I already paid you would cover both and give me some to help pay for the flight.
Keep the history lessons coming Daniel.... I have learned more about whisky and its origins listening to you than anyone or where else. Sorry Rex but come on man!
LOVE THIS CHANLLE SOO MUCH, caps lock. do you need help with mandarin content? serious question, looking for work, willing to relocate to austin tehas.
Oh and btw: If Rex is paid in Whisk(e)y then he is a no good mooch. Since it's payment there is 0, I repeat ZERO, mooching involved. I must confess I am truly disappointed in my last great hero aka the Mooch aka Rex (who is very hot btw, don't let anyone tell you otherwise Rex). I hope I can recover from this great tragedy. Maybe the newly bought bottle of whisky will help... Seriously though, I love you guys!
You can sign up for a whisky tasting class here: austinwhiskyvault.com/ Or, if you bring us a whisky we don't have, we can hang out for a half hour or so and drink it together :-) As long as my schedule is free I'm in. You can see what we already have here: austinwhiskyvault.com/whisky-donations/
liking a whisky that is sweet doesn't make you a noob. Good whisky doesn't always have to taste like it was filtered through a moldy tube sock from 1979. The message you seem to always put forth is that sweet, fruity, or soft is for punks. Hi, my name is David and I like sweet whisky.
Oh, I just realized it, Daniel. You resemble a cartoon character from a show I dislike compared to the original. His name is Tenzin from Legend of Korra. Except he has an arrow tattoo.. and you know.. he's tall.
So Rex is "teaching" a class with Brian, or to put it another way he's mooching Brian's talent and experience. I guess Rex has mooching abilities well beyond whisky.
Hey puddin' sorry I literally ran out of restraint at work today but I have a quick question not related to whiskey does that price hack work on sommelier classes as well
Mooch those stupid stories are the only reason to keep watching this channel. Without those you can only hear so much "its smooth, woody, fruity, etc".
Daniel (Puddin') you should do a 30 minute "story time" episode where Rex has to sit quietly in the background and drink whiskey while you tell cool stories.
I'm a fan of this idea.
Please make it happen.
Glad I’m not the only one that prefers Glenlivet to Glenmorangie, thanks for that!
Daniel, loved the stories! Don't let that mooch drag you down dude! Keep them coming!
I just bought a 1 liter bottle of Glenmorangie Legends: The Dutac for 75$ and it is friggin amazing! Love your videos, about the best newcomer channel of the last few years!
thanks for the kind words!
Definitely a boom... my local shop just doubled the size of their whiskey section. Owner said it's almost as much as vodka in real estate for him. ( I guess it's common for liquor stores to have vodka as their largest section? I don't drink vodka. I wouldn't know. )
As long as you guys don't go the same way as Tek Syndicate this will forever be one of my favorite channels.
I wish I knew about the vault at this time. So would of loved to go to this class.
I know it'll be awesome.
its not the fastest growing whisk(e)y channel... its the best. cheers.
I first seen Daniel on the modern rogue. I have been drinking bourbon for over 10 years but I have always mixed it with Pepsi. Because of this Channel I started trying it over ice. But I struggle to find all these flavors you guys describe. What am I doing wrongm

I just did a promo of Glenlivet Founders Friday. I am drinking it now and made a video.Love yalls videos!
Hi guys, great show! I hope you will test all whiskey from all over the world! :)
I have a strange question. Today I have visited one of the biggest supermarkets in my town and I found some good deals. There was this guy, very friendly, really helpful, that shared with me some interesting piece of information. He said that if you:
1) take a piece of pineapple,
2) season it with black pepper,
3) chew it really well,

Is the alumni rate still a thing now days? Want to do a a few mini classes maybe next summer and do the level 1 sommelier at a later time.
That "suuure" from Rex at 13:00 is priceless. Haha
it's funny that you guys post a madiera finished whiskey the morning after i buy laphroig cairdeas madiera finished!
ooohhh, what do you think of it?
+Rex i loved it, i thought the sweetness worked PERFECTLY against that trademark laphroaig agression.
With that robe.. I just feel Rex needs to wear a turban with a gem and feather in it
*The Great Rexdini, and for his next trick he will make all the whisky disappear
i was on the fence until you got to "my next trick." haha
It could be your Moochgician outfit, that way you'll match Daniel and his hobbit costume .. oh wait - that's not a costume
Belfry he cant help it he's trying to push the height limits set on him as a pudding cup and i for one am impressed with his progress
okay i have this wikey that i have been sitting on for two years and im not going to crack open the cask for another 23 years but tell me if you think it will tern out good the barell is black oak i used to fermint and store mead in it then i gave it a nice char

it whent in the cask at 89% but was suprisingly smooth it was like it had tones of butter, carmel, peper and like sour apple and gramcrackers so that the hunny and the smokey after tast is what im guessing it will taste like so does that sound like somthing or is it going to be shit
Oh man, this could go anyway with no real prediction. Have you been testing it along the way? I would.
yea today i tasted it the first time i tasted it it burnt like it was mad at me you know but now its smooth and tastes like i put like five pounds of honey n it and its now 85 percent so i'm going to put it in a chard Cheri barrel and hopefully you can taste the hickory and Cheri and it wont be over powered by honey (one other thing why dose it taste biskity is it because i didn't malt the barley?)

My dad is an amaretto fanatic, what are some midrange priced whiskys I can I recommend to him?
Angels envy and eagle rare

If it's bourbon, this is a great resource! www.bourbonex.com/auction
whiskybase.com is an excellent reference
thank you! this looks great
thanks! Kinda makes me wish I didn't live in a state (Pennsylvania) where buying/shipping alcohol wasn't such a pain in the ass
What's this thing about your own distillery? Also, any thoughts on Johnny Walker Platinum?
Daniel and I are in the process of opening our own distillery, which will be a great resource for the schools Whiskey Sommelier program. (they can get hands on experience with whiskey making)
Sounds terrific! I'd appreciate updates from time to time on the channel about it. Thanks!

Peter Schumacher, I would reply with the depth that your comment deserves... But game of thrones is starting. 😜
Bruh, it's Thursday! How do you not get things spoiled waiting 4 days to watch?
Peter Schumacher, had to wait until my wife got back in town to watch, and I'm quite adept at dodging spoilers.
Peter Schumacher a

Is Brushwood going to make you give him back his "Happy-Time" sock?
MINE.

I freaking love Arran. Own at least a dozen variations from them. We'll review one soon.
Well that's great news mate. :)
I know you guys weren't too gung-ho for the Mackmyra on offer, but have you ever tried Hven's Seven Stars Alioth single malt from Sweden? It comes in an erlenmeyer shaped, wax-dipped bottle. Not yet! Must find this.
Someday I'd love to come to your classes! I hope this one in August goes great!
We'd love to see you here someday! Yah, the August thing will be be tons of fun. Looking forward to it.

Weird ass necklace??? It's the pinnacle of moochy fashion!

Guess I just don't get moochy fashion ;)
Level one Cigar mooch? Is that mooching a Gas Station cigar from a buddy? Or a light for the cigar that you bought.
I wish there was a way to ping Rex so he could see this. he he
I missed the video class by about 2 years... any repeats of this class in the future?
We’re doing it again in about two weeks! Check Wizard Academy.org
Thank you guys for another great review.
Thanks for watching, Jo Chang =)

My boss and I disagree on this one, he loves it but I feel like it is too young, it lacks in maturity.
I would love to hear your opinions and to prove my boss wrong (again)
We actually did a whole round on the Balblair. I dig it. But it definitely tastes bright and youngish.
any visits to Scotland planned?
As soon as I can possibly make it happen.
My gf says she wishes you guys did the ceremonies when I sent my donation. I tell her it doesn't bother me bc "a few of us been sending whiskey before it was cool". ;-)
PS We really need to get you that shirt I showed you since you dropped the line. It's just so fucking perfect.
charlie.g.hague, we got you're back. Already talked about retroactive donation ceremonies since there were only a few 👍

I sayeth that's a good idea that we've considered... but it'll only work if donators don't feel short changed. do you think it'd feel less special if a donator didn't get a ceremony, and instead got their name in an epic, over the top eagle animation? (or something comparable)
21st...... shouldn't have gone for the pre dinner swim in the Mediterranean...
i have a wall full of whiskey, yet somehow i'm still jealous of you...
I am drinking 30 year old port wine from my grandfather in law, in a basement recording studio, binging this until I finally catch up. circa Jan, 2019.
I find the Glenlivet really woody, I have the 18 currently so that can be why. but I get so many wood notes compared to my other scotches.
Darth Mooch returns!
Nice Tyrion quote in today's video Daniel, but don't dragons and Hobbits have a pretty bad relationship historically?
We've figured out ways to get along. For science.
my friends 21st birthday is coming up soon and neither of us have much whiskey experience whats a bottle i could buy that would be great for relaxing and playing video games
We always recommend Irish for beginners
Whiskey Vault from what ive seen in the reviews i was already considering green spot caramel and apples sounds like a very relaxing drinkable whiskey
Make a review on the Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1990 please!
Hey Puddin'
Have you tried Vulson White Rhino? I've been dipping my toes into rye whiskey like you suggested to me so long ago and I've been enjoying them and when I was doing a bit of research I stumbled upon a blog post on the Whisky Exchange taking about it. From their write up it seems like a really interesting spirit and I'll probably be picking up a bottle.
~Dave Michelle Rahn
Never even heard of it! I'll have to track it down now.
Can you guys review the Irish whiskey Bushmills line? I'm interesting to see how you guys think of their basic line, 10yrs and the Black Bush line.
Also, how we go about sending you bottles for review?
Cheers!

for you to great scotch
for rex good friends
for the audience and nobpudin
😄
beter way to put it
danial : to great scotch
rex : good friends
together: for the audience and nobpudin
sorry that the first one was a little confusing
My current favorites are Lew Bryson's "Tasting Whisky" and Scotch the whisky of Scotland by Robert B Lockhart
thanks for the recommendations m8, i look forward to checking them out
When are you going to review the old pulteney 12 and springbank 10? These are my 2 favorite entry single malt, most of the time i have one in my cabinet. :D Have a great weekend btw! Proost!
Good choices!
Of course you can taste orange in it, it says right on the label that it is orangie :)
If you are still interested in learning more the power of TH-cam and online video, you should consider attending VidCon next year.
Lol.
Happy 8k subs lads.
noneMan1, thanks!
Try orphan barrel barterhouse
Another good video, I want to give this one a try.
Daniel you need to make a video series where you just tell stories about the history of scotch and all your random stories that rex finds boring haha they're really interesting
Have we just discovered the origins of daniel month?
I prefer The Glenlivet 12 to the Founders Reserve
Hey Daniel (Puddin), Rex love watching your whisk(e)y reviews.
I currently stay up to 2am to watch your videos because I live in
Sydney, Australia. I’m a big fan of all the reviews you guys do and really appreciate your helpful incite and unique (shit talking) perspective you have, which makes me want to stay up soo late just because you are both so entertaining! :)
Daniel do you know about any Australian Whisk(e)y’s? I would love to see an Aussie Whisk(e)y on the channel maybe ill send you one in the future…??
We'd love to have one sent! I have two right now. The Starward malt, and a malt called "Big Black Cock Single Malt" from Queensland. be careful when you google it. :-)
Thanks for watching!
Starward is smooth. Tasty.
A while ago, you guys include a little walk-through of the vault in one of your review videos, but I can't find it. Any idea which one it was?
Whiskey Vault, it was a lot more recent than that. I recorded with my phone.
There was a more recent one than that, I remember seeing it not long ago where you said what each of the section were, including the "s*** I don't have room for" whisk(e)ys. I'll go through and try to find it, if I do I'll edit this with a link.
Rex... Yeah, that one! Which video is that?
i'll see if chad remembers.
Love the GoT reference!
Are y'all gonna do anymore the the video classes or was that a one time thing?
We'll likely do it annually
could you review something from Cleveland Underground ??
We can, but I'm really not much of a fan. And I always feel bad about featuring whisky I dislike.
would i like it?
likely no
Since I already signed up and paid full price for the Level 1 Class can I sign up for the whiskey tasting class then get half off of the the video class and the Level 1 class since technically the tasting class is before the other 2? If so the tuition I already paid you would cover both and give me some to help pay for the flight.
Just sent you an email
Keep the history lessons coming Daniel.... I have learned more about whisky and its origins listening to you than anyone or where else. Sorry Rex but come on man!
LOVE THIS CHANLLE SOO MUCH, caps lock. do you need help with mandarin content? serious question, looking for work, willing to relocate to austin tehas.
I wonder who will be the first person to point out that we're mispronouncing "Glenmorangie."... It's tradition! 😅
Counting the seconds.....

OMG... that was bothering me so much.
its official, Daniel shall be known as Lord Tyrian from now on
Oh and btw: If Rex is paid in Whisk(e)y then he is a no good mooch.
You're obviously experiencing a hardship. Which newly bought whisky are you trying to ease your suffering?
Glenmorangie Legends: The Dutac, which is just the right thing...
Daniel "Puddin'" Whittington likes Knob. Rex "Can't Quit You" Williams will do anything for hwsikee.
I have training next month in Austin. What are the chances of getting to actually see the Whiskey Vault?
You can sign up for a whisky tasting class here: austinwhiskyvault.com/
Or, if you bring us a whisky we don't have, we can hang out for a half hour or so and drink it together :-) As long as my schedule is free I'm in.
Not at all. There are many sweeter whiskys that are awesome. The main point is, the definition of "good whisky" is "whisky you like to drink."
I just noticed rex had a robe, after watching the video for a second time.
SchruteFarms, were you entranced by the puddin'?
Glen More Orangie
Did you know, Mr.T and Rex used to be buddies but together they were just too cold blooded.
i pity the whiskey
shhhhhh. I'm trying to get you more whiskey
proceed.
are the videos getting longer each time - ????
we can't stop.
Oh, I just realized it, Daniel. You resemble a cartoon character from a show I dislike compared to the original.
His name is Tenzin from Legend of Korra. Except he has an arrow tattoo.. and you know.. he's tall.
"knock knock."
"who's there?"
"eyep".....
Thirst (yeah I'm not original, I'm the pop music of the whisk[e]y vault comments)
Sweet!
you're the Whiskey Adele 😋
Flight fights!

Chuck Norris doesn't worry about high gas prices. His vehicles run on fear.

What's the difference between a man in a tux on a unicycle, and a man wearing jeans on a bicycle?
Attire.
awesome

So Rex is "teaching" a class with Brian, or to put it another way he's mooching Brian's talent and experience. I guess Rex has mooching abilities well beyond whisky.
Hine
Interesting, letting the wine go bad.....in all my research I’ve seen over and over to not let your wine go bad in the barrel. Weird.
It's pronounced "Morongie" not Morangie
Rex you got another good whiskey out of my comment so quit whining
why? whining seems to result in good whiskeys! keep the comments coming chad. haha
I will keep the comments coming in all my 23 years I haven't shut up yet
Chad Stewart, if it results in more whiskey, I completely approve.
Hey puddin' sorry I literally ran out of restraint at work today but I have a quick question not related to whiskey does that price hack work on sommelier classes as well
It does!
Mooch those stupid stories are the only reason to keep watching this channel. Without those you can only hear so much "its smooth, woody, fruity, etc".
not enough half nudity in this episode 1/10 stars would not recommend
well since you are only an entry level mooch it doesn't mean much that i'm dead to you
😂👍
Goddammit stop saying "Glen mor Angie", it's "Glen Morenjee"
This is one long ass video.
Daniel is a terrible mooch.
I wish i got shit for free! I dont think ive ever won or got anything for free before! Count your stars and quit complaining
