The random screams followed by him apologizing for being loud are so heartbreaking, he's trying so hard to keep his cool but sometimes cracks under pressure, really hoping he's doing better because watching this was genuinely painful, his comments on how he should quit because he's "bad at the game" is something I can relate to a lot and it really shows how hard it is to have motivation to play this game when you get upset really easily
The moment at 15:28 especially stuck with me, wanting to accomplish something but feeling like you can't make any progress regardless of how hard you try is one of the most soulcrushing feelings ever, and you can tell he was definitely going through that a lot while playing this level, that coupled with the fact that you're slowly losing consistency at the later parts of the level due to dying at the beginning a lot when it really feels like you should get far everytime is probably one of the most frustrating things one can go through playing this game
i know how stressful trying to keep your emotions hidden while you are streaming is, and i genuinely think npesta should give himself some credit like cmon a new hardest in a month?? thats just insane

This brings me phyisical pain to watch. I knew npesta was struggling, but never to this level of emotional torture. I am glad that he has this done, but it's really sad to see him beating himself up over progress that I could never imagine achieving. I hope he has a much more pleasant experience with Return 0 than zodiac.

It's hard coming back to this after knowing that he's gone through 2 harder levels and mental anguish for both, both being Oblivion and now Edge of Destiny
I struggle with mental health as well, and I feel like when I have nothing else I turn to games for comfort, and when I start underperforming all I can think is "wow you even suck at video games". I can only imagine this is amplified for Nathan as a streamer and I really hope he's okay, i know he has been going through a lot. He's such an inspiration to me and seeing him go through this feels like how I used to feel.
I just want to hug you, honestly. The way you said that made me feel really sad now. I hope you're doing better. (Yes, 8 months later but i don't care)

Yeah, I even gave up on Monolithos, an easy demon because of its length being 2.5 minutes. I think that one needs to be like really good at nerve control to beat levels that are 3 minutes or longer.

@@vedantsridhar8378I beat an easy demon of 10+ minutes (my nerve control isnt so great), the way i beat it was go 0% - 10%, pause the game, then go from 10% - 20% and so on, i guess this doesnt always work with long levels, like if theres no way to pause the game and play on later because the level is too hard, so there is no place to pause. But this tactic really helps with long levels, i reccomend it.

I was there during the Zodiac streams, so I saw this experience firsthand. Knowing now that he has limitless ambition yet very limited capabilities is very sad. I hope he's doing alright, especially when he does Return 0.

I always had this image of Npesta as an amazing, happy, comedic genius and I'm going to be honest, when I went in to this video at first I was expecting to laugh a bit. But the way that he raged, the way he talked about himself really broke me... This was a genuine struggle to watch and seeing him beat himself up on "mild" really made me feel dread when I saw it change to "strong". Same when "Severe" came up...
I see him in a new light now as a true human who is struggling, not just an entertainer, and could see depression really leaking through there. I hope he gets better with time and hard work, and I hope his community will stand strong with him the entire way. I know I will.
stop throwing the word depression around; going through a hard time doesnt necessarily mean ur depressed; neither does having bad mental health. until people come out and say they have depression dont call it tht. its bad for both the person ur talking ab and everyone with actual depression. depression affects 3.8% of people worldwide… even the percent of people with blue eyes is higher than that (8%). So stop, until someone comes out n says they have it dont say shit… and even if they did pointing it out at times like this doesnt help anyone

Smart water is the dumbest thing ever they advertise that it is “Vapoury distilled” yet the only way to make distilled water is by turning it in to vapor and then letting it settle after. It makes my brain hurt why people think it’s better then regular tap water.

I am going for zodiac at the moment. And this video honestly helps me with what to expect and npesta's reactions help me to know that I will indeed get mad at the level no matter what. If I know what to expect...the experience will be less painful probably...hopefully

He was just disappointed in himself. He mostly rages when he dies at the same places like tmn, failiure, pennutoh or slimjim. This level is very chokepoint heavy.

I went into this video thinking there were going to be funny rages but damn after watching this i genuinely feel bad for him, Especially the 84% death like I really am happy that he beat this after all of the mental struggle. 13:57 exactly what I was thinking the moments before I quit this game, like I destroyed my mouse, I put so much time and effort just to finish a singular level and get 1 digit on my profile (demon count) on a 3$ game. Like what was the point? does it even matter? this game ironically gave me a new perspective on games that eventually helped me quit gaming.

i watched the first zodiac stream skipped a couple and then watched another and then watched some of the ending ones and it was extremely sad watching his confidence disappear throughout them

Seeing Npesta completely get ripped apart at 5:50 was so sad. You can just see the look of disappointment in his eyes and it even hurts to watch. I'm very glad he ended up overcoming it and ended up beating it though, especially because of how much pain it caused him.

It's a hard level. There are no free inputs. It's balanced overall. Doesn't make sense to set an expectation that you will *never* die to certain parts.

Well, he looks like he is perfectly fine in his streams and has completed Edge of Destiny lol. Yes, some levels are more stressful but the more you struggle during completing it, the happier you'll be once you complete it!

this is a very interesting video,someone finally not treating fails like "top 50 best reactions" or something like that,It's right that we all can look apart from the npesta's tipical jokes and sarcasm and pay attention that his mental health is ruined with a simplistic game (I'm not saying he cares too much about It,I also got very raged at this and had depressed times)
i think reactions should be completions not fails but if the fail is really unique then it would be a good reaction
zodiac is just not a good level for people with bad mental health. its horribly unbalanced and super stressful meaning that you get stressed and die to an easy part or die to a hard part and get pissed because its the last one for 30 seconds

But I seriously don't understand Npesta. I'm sure he knows that he is one of the best players on literally the entire PLANET to be able to play a Top 10 demon of his time. If he thinks he's bad, he can just remember that there are people out there who have the dream of just beating Bloodbath alone, and Zodiac is like 1000 times harder than Bloodbath.

I want to share a piece of advice to people who rage a lot and hopefully calm them, so I have had this experience in the past with hard demons and insane demons and when you start losing progression you start getting impatient and want to beat the level already. With this, you start to try less and set expectations yourself to beat it right then and there. Geometry dash requires skill and patience to beat hard levels, and when you stop trying, your less effort causes you to die more and when you die you lose tolerance and start raging. It only gets worse from there. This has worked for me every time when I was playing levels like toe 2 v2, Fairydust or 8o. Those levels did not like me and it caused me to rage a lot, but I decided to take a few hour break, eat something, and do something useful. When I came back I felt in a better mood even when I died 90% and a few attempts later, I beat it. Sorry for the long story, but moral of the story: If you're ever raging, take a break, you will feel better and maybe be able to beat the level you were playing more comfortably. RAGING SOLVES NOTHING!
It's not that easy, some people have anger issues and they increase while doing something stressful, just like playing a hard level in this game, taking a break help, but if you're like this, it won't be enough and you'll still rage playing the game.
raging is inevitable in this game, and it just takes lots of practice to learn how to control your anger. I agree with you tho taking a break is really helpful
@@IBM-5100 true but they could practice control and lower their anger very slightly each time just baby steps. You cant really just improve overnight people could practice control and improve at it very slowly that eventually, they will have most anger controlled and they will be happier
@@cnea8378 raging is not inevitable. I have never once raged at this game even when I got 99 on bloodbath and 94 on wow I had a straight face both times and took a little break to calm my nerves. Maybe I am yet to experience it but I just don’t rage at this game.
Thanks, it worked on me! By not raging at dying at the last cube timing in Nine Circles, I managed to beat the level just the next attempt!

I think it’s more of a “glad it’s over” type thing. We can be happy about it because it’s over. Just like when someone who’s suffering a lot dies, it’s sort of relieving in a way that they aren’t suffering anymore. Just on a milder scale

Just like those who laugh their asses off while seeing someone cry in pain on a Lifestream. I've never seen someone's confidence fall off a cliff so much in this game. I truly feel bad for npesta. Having such a hard and terrible time with Zodiac, every tiny mistake putting a dent in his confidence and making him more demotivated and miserable. I'm just happy that he finally managed to beat this living hell of a level. GG npesta on beating Zodiac and conquering the Extreme Demon Roulette. 👍♥️

The gameplay isn't even that bad it's just that the mental really sinks in.

It was mentally hard for me to watch these streams, it got to the point where if he was far into the level, I would mute the stream to not hear the pain and rage.
