I just got me the 1/16 scale mini E Revo just a few days ago LOL..... now I have the 1/8th and 1/16th!!!!!!. I’m about to receive two Gens Ace 1400 MAH 3S 11.1 Volt 50C lipo batteries for it!!!!!. Planning on hitting atleast 40-46 mph with it on stock gearing and 3S!!!!!. I bought a 31 tooth pinion for it lmfao!!!!!!. Going to gear it to 31/50 after I get alittle bored with the stock gears. Instead of it doing 50-52 or more with that optional pinion gear I’m planning on upping the ante by doing atleast 53-59 or 60 maybe 61-63 mph....... This little 380 canned vxl motor will be too hot though so I’m planning on buying a heatsink and fan for it once I gear it that high.
Tinki Gaming the 1/16 traxxas vehicles are nice little fun "toys," if you're willing to do some work prepping and repairing. Their small size makes them convenient to take along but they are also harder to work on.
The Blow Up I wouldn't recommend it. it breaks too easily. the differentials need a lot of attention. I would recommend a 2wd slash for a beginner. very durable and very easy to work on and learn how things on an rc work.
JoreHaast yes. unless you have fans etc. the 16th scale is waterproof. I know because I jumped it straight into a,lake and it was completely submerged for a minute. the wheels even turned while underwater. it ran perfectly once I picked it out of the water. as for the 10th scale, it should be the same.
The Blow Up yes. of course 4wd is better off road, but the 2wd slash does well. get good tires. I like the 2wd slash so much, I have three with various power plants and setups.
1/10 scale is massive, however it is Not an 1/8 scale, The 1/16 Scale is NOT an 1/18 scale. The scale sizes are Named by traxxas, it is not an accurate or precise form of measurement. Random Chinese RC cars don't Determine the scale sizes. Traxxas does.
OK, so can anyone tell me what the best traxxas vehicle is in the $100- $200 ish price range? I'm currently REALLY looking at this, but i'd like to get the best vehicle for a gravel lane and plowed snow
OK thanks, but the main reason im looking for a good r/c is because a guy sold me a brushed emaxx for about $220 and it gave out( esc, front diff, and motor) after a few hours of use by me. from what i read even fairly old emaxxs dont do that. so i want to go with something new so i dont get scammed, but thanks anyways.
Asher Mickey you could also put in a brushless system in that Teton, beef up the gears and you're good to go. Also look into Redcat Terremoto 10, blackout. Their quality has definitely improved over the years. You could also go with a Redcat Volcano. I have three and love the fact that parts are dirt cheap on ebay direct from China.
It's a 1/16 buddy. Traxxas named it a 1/16 therfore that's what it is. Your crappy chinese RC Troian car doesn't determine the scale size that Traxxas brands their cars as.
Would like to know more about your e revo 1/10. I reallly like your set up
Hi! Great comparison vid! What shocks and springs are you using on the 1/16 Merv?

Okay, thanks for the reply. I'm going with Rustler. I think that's a good choice.
The 1/16 slash rolls more than the 1/16 revo
What wheels and tires on the 1/16?
bloodywheels they are some generic ebay ones
Flipmode's Speed Shop ok thanks!!!
Do you think the 1/16 erevo is good for a beginner
The Blow Up I wouldn't recommend it. it breaks too easily. the differentials need a lot of attention. I would recommend a 2wd slash for a beginner. very durable and very easy to work on and learn how things on an rc work.
Flipmode's Speed Shop thx for feed back that was my second choice

JoreHaast and I have a 10th scale summit that I run in snow with no issues. I rinse it all off with a hose too.
And could a 2wd slash still do off road decently
The Blow Up yes. of course 4wd is better off road, but the 2wd slash does well. get good tires. I like the 2wd slash so much, I have three with various power plants and setups.
Flipmode's Speed Shop ok thank you for help
Where did you get those bodies?
Jacob Beaubien bought clear ones off ebay and painted them

Asher Mickey for your situation, look for a used stampede 4x4

i also have a teton that does well, but it's kinda under powered in the snow
Asher Mickey go with an ecx product within that price range

THE MINI EREVO IS BIG FOR 1/16TH ITS MORE LIKE A 1/14 I HAVE A 1/16 TROIAN PRO AND ITS ALOT SMALLER THAN THE MINI EREVO

lol the 1/16 e revo is a 1/12 scale nort 1/18
Far from it. it's even smaller than my 1/14 scale Carisma. I said it's more like 1/18, not that it actually is.
