Serves 4
20min prep, 45min total
Ingredients:
• 4 large marron, or 8 yabbies, split in half lengthways
• 4 cloves of garlic, diced finely
• 500ml of cream
• Knob of butter
• Olive Oil
• Parmesan
• Parsley (garnish - optional)
• 350g of fettuccini pasta (fresh if you can get it)
Directions:
• Split the marron head to tail down the centre and sprinkle them with salt, pepper and olive oil. Then grill them shell side down on a low heat for around 15-20min or until the flesh goes from transparent to white.
• Remove the claws and grill them until they have just turned red all over.
• Add the garlic and butter to a medium heat pan and cook for around 5minutes, just before the garlic has browned, then slowly add the cream 50-100ml at a time over another 3min period.
• Once the cream has combined with the garlic, add around ¾ of a cup of grated parmesan and stir to combine.
• Prepare the pasta according to the packet.
• Remove the tail meat from the marron and dice it up to around 1.5 cm cubes and add it to the creamy sauce, then add the pasta and ½ cup of pasta water and stir it all together. Serve some diced parsley and the marron claws as garnish.
Gear:
• Grill
• Pot
• Pan
Loved the hitchhiking - thank goodness for kind people who stop. Thank goodness Fred had the luxury of aircon. Dinner looked amazing - absolute treat. Good ‘clean’ eating and great company. Another great episode.🌺😁
Man that was so Clean i can’t believe it. You are so good Harry and the chicks loved it(and you). Never stop your channel and the work you do man, ❤ it Harry. FTF forever
Fire to walk.
Makes me feel better that someone as experienced as you still forgets things when going camping... Hope fred didn't ruin your fancy, clean bed...
I am sorry to hear that you had stuff stolen. We always clear our cars/campers out when having any work done or have the service come to our home if possible. I always feel annoyed when doing it, but you have just made me feel better knowing there are definitely ****holes who do something like that.
I hope when you had the detail done that is was actually“clean” when they finished.
"CLEAN" crisp beer with marron.....heaven.
Doesn't one miss a good old fuel gauge in vehicles. So much more accurate than a vague square box that disappears and reappears randomly and then relying on "distance to empty". That almost always works, sometimes.
CLEAN! I recently found your channel and am really enjoying the content. It’s inspiring me to spend more time outside and also to try charcoal cooking!
So sorry to hear someone CLEAN-ed you out, that is low. Love your episodes 👍🏽
Hey Harry the old bloke that picked you up and took you into town is my pop.
Mmmm Marron, garlic, cream & pasta there’s nothing better glad you had CLEAN hands after running out of fuel and hitching
Ran out of fuel for the car but did not run out of salt. It is good to see the priorities for a chef. :)
U know Fred's had a full day when he sleeps while you are cooking another great video cheers from grumpy
Clean crisp beer is an absolute awesome way to finish an amazing day
Think I definitely need to try this marron now that looked so clean and tasty 🤤
Another wonderful video Harry!
I panicked when you said you were willing up the 1500 with diesel as well!!!
I bet the silverado was like a lounge chair. Fred took advantage of the situation being up on the bed 😂. Those marron looked pretty "clean", great job as always 👏🏻
Sorry to hear about you have things stolen. Great video, I look forward to tasting some clean Marron one day
How good is the southwest/great southern; 40° degree day and rain that night!
Love "clean" marron. Awesome episode ❤
Love your recipes, especially the one for CLEAN Marron.
CLEAN particularly love this recipe yum Marron
A week late for me, was camping over the Australia Day weekend and bagged some yabbies. Looks like a crowd pleaser. Clean.👍🏻🇦🇺
Mmmmm marron 🤤
Fred’s living the dream, relaxing in the aircon & goes swimming while silly human does human things on stinking hot day, clever boy.
CLEAN!
Love ya work mate..
Good clean bush cooking
Good ep Harry,👍 Nearly clean forgot to check if it goes good with beer. Cheers mate.🍻
As always a good laugh as you forget most of what you need. A nice "clean" video
Clean. Another good vid. Love Fred 🐾
Fred was loving spending time with a friend good doggos 🙂
Clean episode , thanks
CLEAN Love it Harry
Clean... Partner n i absolutely love your videos mate. Even had to buy him the knives you used. 😊
I can't think of anything clever to get the word "Clean" in but I did want to say that Ihad exactly the same problem towing my camper trailer yesterday! Luckily I managed to roll into a Servo in wodonga on the highway with my 3 year old daughter in the back. I massivly underestimated the distance to the next servo and how badly towing was going to affect fuel economy. Did not tell the wife (who was at home). Definite Squeaky Bum moment.
I panicked when u said diesel
Same!
I wish we had clean marron in Victoria after watching this
Those marron were so clean
It sucks that a company is not honest, great video like always mate
Fantastic episode as usual, Marron are an awesome clean food.
Bet you felt like an absolute tool running out of fuel that close to the servo.
Hope the tools that re-allocated your belongings come clean, such a dirty act when you place so much trust in them.
Clean as a whistle
clean , looks good
Wow!!! You’ve had some bad luck. What’s wrong with people, I’m sure sorry that people are stealing stuff when you’re in for repairs. Love your videos. Keep up the great work “clean” LOL
Hi Harry, sorry to hear you had some gear stolen. I always clean out most if not all my gear whenever any vehicle goes in for a service or repair.
I hope they clean the Prado before you pick it up. I bet you won’t forget fuel for a long time, though you usually forget something! 😂🍻
Very CLEAN. CLEAN taste, CLEAN yabbies, and CLEAN FORGOT to get fuel! Yukyukyuk.
It's a good thing your head is screwed on, or you would have forgotten that too in this episode. Clean your act up, Harry! 🤣
Your simple creamy garlic marron dish is delicious! I've made it like that many times 👍
Well if you haven’t run out of fuel, you not trying. The Chevy looks nice and’clean’.
Nice clean Chevy
So you “drove your Chevy to the levee” to cook some clean Marron. 🍻
Man I love a clean crisp beer with a creamy salty feed. Also keen to know what's happening with the Prado.
Clean!
Clean 🧼
Clean… always!
Good work mate, 3 kms what a pain.
Clean
Imagine picking up Harry on the side of the road😂 those dogs after their dam swim wouldn't be to clean😂 such a hard watch when you don't get to est the food at the end 😂
Can't believe you ran out of fuel! Clean!
Clean 🥰
As usual, I am going to have to try this reci too...BTW, is that the compact Braai or the Mini Braai?? I have spent waaaaaay too much on shipping from Australia, but this seems like it would be necessary - LOL!
It’s the compact Braai mate- it’s soo good
Clean fuel recovery mission Harry :)
Good clean fun....😂
Glad to see you preventing the farm from being overrun with clean Marron. #allhailourmarronoverlords
Any ideas yet on the state of the Prado?
Does it go well with beer ? Bloody oath it does.
CLEAN
Clean 🤞🏻
Clean out of fuel, but not clean out of great food👌
Garlic--flatten it with the knife, then crush it with the heal of the knife. You get more oil than choping. That's why they do it like that. Not slapping it and making a mess like you did.😂😅😂😅
Clean❤
Would be interested to hear what you think of the Chev.
Did it self prime, after you ran it dry?
The retailers that cleaned you out, need to be named and shamed as well.
I like the interior, don’t love the suspension, it makes a good noise but uses too much fuel towing. It’s Petrol so no need to prime it
@@firetoforktake a drive in a Y62 averages about 17L/100 but the power on tap is worth it.
Had to prime my old commodore which had an intermittent dodgy fuel gauge 😂
@@Ovaworked4x4 I’ve driven plenty of Y62s, they are nice but too thirsty for my liking
@ yep I definitely don't drive it for economic benefit 😬
But coming from a 120 Prado it's been worth every dollar extra at the bowser
Was that Mount Barker before Albany W.A ? Cheers 🍻
Yeah mate
How is a charcoal bbq different to a fire????
Skull Island prawns, noice
Cleaned out the fuel tank to go eat some clean marron
How clean is clean.
Clean forgot the beer
CLEAN unlike Harrys feet !
I’m surprised the 20lt was enough to get you into town….😊
I recognize this dam. Last time you were here something disastrous happened as well.
I’m a mechanic by trade(not doing thar now) but ya should have slowed down to 60 and used less fuel and could have made it man. Just a little advice
clean
Mt Fire to Fork doesn’t have a match!?
I thought you were going to walk clean away from the episode without "does it go well with beer".
Clean skull island prawns will be good next week
I'm wondering if someone is watching this episode & thinks "oh shit, that was Harry. i drove past" 🤦 can't beat "clean" rain water 😋 Sucks having to deal with the five finger discount types Harry, nothing worse! 🤬
Thanks for the clean video
Clean
The water feature in the dam at 11:50 looks an awful lot like Fred.....
just a thought but you could brown the the Marron with a blow torch like Guga does his stakes and get the best of both worlds
no Lighter, no fuel, Harry...
So in car you have never before you decided not to fill up on out there? ☹
Hit the garlic an slide like uncle Roger on yourube
Why put diesel in a red jerry can? They had yellow ones there.
The car runs on Petrol
@@firetofork That makes more sense. At 5:19 you mention you spent $100 on 20 litres of diesel. Love the videos Harry.
Clean Diesel
I hope to God, it was NOT diesel that you put in the Chevy,
I know how much you love us armchair campers telling you how to do stuff so I will ask why you used a petrol jerry to carry diesel? I don't really care and not many do but as am influencer you might comment.
Happens to us all. I blamed Google as she took us the wrong way,
20L .. that should get you another 2km.
Nice to know you run out of fuel too. Thought it was only husband
Would have been sweet if you could have got an F150 to drive.
CLEAN the fuel lines right out!
How does Harry like his fuel tank......clean
