I think by helping others you also help yourself, I was explaining a thing in chemistry to my friend that I kind of got but after explaining I totally got it! It's a good way to learn :)

Sometimes I'm too shy to participate in class.. and when the teacher or somebody else says the answer I'd have said I'm so mad at myself...
try sitting at the front so you dont see the whole class, you will feel less intimidated.

10th grade!!! I just moved to a knew school and all of the people in my class are so kind! Where I am, at 10th grade, I get to choose my subjects and even though I'm in the hardest course(considered to be sciences), I'm loving all of my subjects and I'm so interested! I don't think that I would be doing sciences if it wasn't for you Jess, thank you so much!!!! 😊💜💖💜

when it comes to participating in class and asking questions though, how would you recommend getting rid of the anxiety that i'm sure many face when it comes to speaking in front of the entire class, even if only for a minute or two?
Just remember that everyone is in the same boat as you - if anyone laughs/giggles, its probably to that with you or not at you. Also, for me, I only answered in class if I was 100% certain of the answer and that I was comfortable with the teacher :)
Ne Jaa I have really bad anxiety as well when it comes to asking questions so sometimes what I do is ask the teacher at recess or lunch so that I don't have to worry about what everyone is thinking around me
Just think about how you react when someone else in class asks a question. You don't laugh or find them weird, it's just a normal thing in class. And you're not the only one confused, many classmates might actually be glad because you asked the questions since they don't get the thing either.
What? its out right to ask our doubts to the teacher man . Why are you so scared . We are asking questions to the teacher to get rid of our doubts which helps us to understand it better . So if we are too shy to ask questions how will we get rid of our doubts . Then why are we seeking knowledge from teachers if we dont have the rights to ask question . We can sit at home and study ourselves cant we . Teacher will teach us and if we dont understand we have the rights to ask our doubts and our teacher will explain it to us . Teachers are there to correct our mistakes not to make us anxious.

Can't agree more about having a balanced life especially now that I'm almost finishing first year of university. In high school I had my hobbies, social life, and volunteer work take out at least 24 hours of my time every week (a lot considering I did IBDP) but it helped motivate me in school and I never felt overwhelmed.

Hey Jess, I just started uni this year, I have really bad anxiety but I pushed myself to find some friends and be involved last semester, unfortunately the 'friends' I found were not really 'friends' but turned out to be using me for my work :( . They would copy all of my work and sometime my assignments. I would feel so guilty and terrible that I had to stop them after the third time and after I stopped letting them look at my work they stopped talking to me and completely ignoring me. But now I have a different study buddy this semester, we share notes after class and exchange opinions on topics, we're able to sit silently studying together which is so new to me :O and makes study so much more fun. Your videos have really helped me so far and with exams coming up I cant wait to look back on all my summaries, thank you for all the great tips! :) xx

Hey Jess, I've been watching your videos a lot lately! So a new semester of college has started for me recently and I am taking more classes than usual trying to graduate faster. But it's only been the first couple of weeks of class and I'm already drowning. I'm not a procrastinator but for some reason no matter how much time I spend studying I can't keep up with the work load and I'm not doing well on the assignments I'm turning in and quizzes. I do have a job and work a lot but that has never been that much of a problem in the past. I don't know how to get through all of this and stress and anxiety is a big problem for me. What should I do I'm desperate please!

My classmate and I are literally fighting about whose gonna be the top 1 in class, whenever I get a higher score than him in each test, I tease him. But people say he's gonna be top 1 and I'm top 2😕
This dude just really doesnt fit to be the top 1 because he is really dirty minded, he is also a play boy.
He once said to me "Let's sign up for engagement" and he hugged me while I was cleaning the classroom.
