    Wow, what an absolutely beautiful tune and arrangement. Working long hours today, so just watched the song performance. But I definitely will watch the rest and lean the song asap! Thanks for sharing. Now back to boring spread sheets.

    A true marvel! That's you, Sandra! Your videos are absolutely marvelous! Well thought out, well-organized, pleasing to the ear, and musically exciting. I placed a comment on one of your earlier videos; thus, raving about your talent as a musician and a teacher. There are those who can play and/or arrange well, but come up short when it comes to teaching. Not you! You "do it all!" As I mentioned in my previous comment - it was my loss not to have found you earlier. Regardless, I found you now - so, I have this opportunity to learn from you and advance my skill (I've played and/and off for over 60 years). It's never too late to improve; after all "learning is a lifetime pursuit!" Thank you for all you've done - I would like to request a song that wouldn't necessarily be considered a jazz tune - it's "How Do You Keep The Music Playing" which is an absolutely beautiful tune - and one that I'm sure that you'd be able to arrange a very nice chord melody arrangement. You can count on me to remain a faithful follower (BTW, I've made several purchases from your site and treasure each and every one of them). Please accept my best wishes to you for your continued success as the best I've ever seen at providing worthwhile and interesting training videos for guitar. Sincerely, Bob DeVivo.

      Thank you for your wonderful and encouraging words, Bob! Makes me so happy my efforts lead to something and inspire people to play and enjoy the music. Making these videos is a full time job and really so much mlre work I'd ever i. agine. But people like you are what keep me continuing. Thanks again. Keep swingin'! ❤️

      The more I listen to this song, the more beautiful I find it, and the more impressed I am with your arrangement and performance. I don’t think you really know how wonderful and excellent you are as a guitarist. 🌹🌹🌹

    • @GuitarversumSandraSherman
      @GuitarversumSandraSherman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's so sweet of you! Thanks so much for your encouraging words, especially since I'm not so satisfied with this performance. It was supposed to go along a backing track, but then I didn't have time to make one. I should've changed either the arrangement or at least perform the tune more freely.
      So I encourage you to take some rests between bars, play the single note runs in between the melody faster, or the way you feel it. But add dynamics to it, so it gets more life. My performamce is bland, I'd play ot completely different (just timing wise), if I recorded it again.

    • @luishiguera3995
      @luishiguera3995 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GuitarversumSandraSherman You must be a perfectionist, I don’t think your performance is bland at all, it has many interesting and strong features. I hope you are having a great day, dear Sandra.🌹

    Magnificent job on this, Sandra👏👏! A wonderful rendition! This tune has such a nice harmonic feel… I absolutely love what you did with phrase three - the line, followed by the descending C shapes. Perfect🙌🔥😁! This whole video was chock full of goodies …from theoretical tips to the accent lighting in the room, to the zoom-ins (and, I like the tee shirt😉 … thought it was a Tele at first, hehe). Well done, Sandra! I’ll be seeing Julian Lage perform tonight, so this is a nice way to my head “set!” Be well!

      by the way i finally passed my audition for music school ! i play your version of sunny, however it didnt go as expected at all, i kept practicing it to the metronome click of your guitar pro file, and i was expecting to play it alone but instead they made me play with a full band and it completelly threw me off and i went completelly off rythm :S they seemed very nice and understanding about it so i'm awaiting their response now

    This arrangement goes very high up for my voice in parts. How can I modify it into a singable version? I don't just have tools for that yet. Thanx

    • @GuitarversumSandraSherman
      @GuitarversumSandraSherman  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ehy wluld you want to sing over a chord melody arrangment, that includes the melody anyway. You wpukd rather accompany yourself on guitar (chords only) rather than play a complucated chord melody arrangement. But if you want it lower move everything down a couple of frets.

    • @johanvedel6482
      @johanvedel6482 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GuitarversumSandraSherman You have an important point there, Sandra. Thanx. My idea is to accompany vocal jazz and also sing myself and I like simplicity.
