    False, and ridiculous!
    Most places in the United States require a state license in order to become a home inspector, which can take several months and requires that you pass a national exam that is btw very difficult. Sure, there are a few states such as California that don’t mandate a license, but good luck getting any business without various certifications and qualifications to show for. This is also true for Canada.
    Not only is this misleading, but such a comment is dangerous to the home inspection industry. No one who is uneducated on residential construction is going to wake up one day, become an inspector in a matter of hours, and come attempt to inspect your house.
    Don’t listen to such outrageous information like this. This is merely a businessman trying to sell his business using fear tactics.

      I’m currently dealing with this. And it is true. The amount of people I had to process before I picked one. Ha buddy is 100% right. And Canada is not America. We can’t go around suing people if we pick wrong. You’re stuck.

    If you guys didn't hear at the end, this is in Canada. In Canada it is true that there is no regulatory body for home inspectors. No licensing required to become one here.

    In some state you literally don’t need a license but here inTexas we are highly regulated.

    • @Underpantsniper
      @Underpantsniper 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Correct, Texas has the highest standard and fail rate compared to any other state to be liscened as a real estate inpector. Once you have your National and Texas license you can go anywhere else in the country with minimal additional testing.

    This false information. Majority of states have a long list of requirements to become a home inspector. Louisiana Board of Home Inspectors has to approve the education course.

      That’s crazy, also, did you know that the weird word that he said sounding a bit like “Ka Na Da” is actually a country just like the united states but it is not the united states, it is it’s own country and is a bit different, hope that helps❤

    I can become home inspector, after i wake up at 5 Am in the morning, and make my scramble eggs, a glass of milk, and then watch home inspection, and now a home inspector

  • @Mountains4ever

    I’m working on becoming a home inspector in the US right now. The state I’m in requires 120hours of coursework which is 20 courses. Then you have to take the state licensing exam. Pass that. Get fingerprinted. Then once you get your license and everything, you can then begin

    Kentucky requires a license and there is a governing body.

  • @inspectorralph

    NOT TRUE😂.. Every State is different! In NJ for instance you need to take 140hrs of classroom training, an externship and pass a national exam. In Maryland a 72hr class plus exam. Some States are less strict than others but to say anyone can be an inspector by 5pm is just not true.

    Well, you certainly don’t need a PhD to freely license long standing tenants with petty requests to call the end of lease cleaners back because their standard of cleaning did not exactly match your neurotic expectations…..

    Are you serious you have to take a college class and in some cases people travel and take a 2 week course. It's more than you think

  • @0psec_not_good
    @0psec_not_good ปีที่แล้ว

    This is ridiculously incorrect lmao. I’m sure that may be the case in a couple states, all of the states I’ve worked in as a carpenter require certain course hours and an exam on top of a certain number of supervised inspections before you get your license. Quit lying to people.

    Bullshit. In Canada you must do a year's course, pass the test and follow an inspector who will sign off your package. This guy is selling wolf tickets.
