- Hi everyone!! Here i will be talking about Eye Power (Refractive Error) in Tamil. There are different types of Refractive errors in eye such as myopia (Short sight), Hypermetropia or Hyperopia or Long sight, Astigmatism. I have talked about Presbyopia in another video. What are the healthy ways to take care of eyes. Spectacles, Contact lens and LASIK procedures are the cure for it.

hi doctor, the ar reading of eye power is different from prescribed glasses. Is it normal and what is my actual eye power among these two? I am having this doubt for very long time.
AR is like readymade dress, whereas Prescribed glasses is your stitched dress.. so go for prescribed glass..

My daughter studying Second std.. 75 cyl and. 75 sph. Doctor said to wear glasses. But she doesn't cooperate with us. She is not willing to wear glasses. Right now we avoid mobile and screen time fully. May be after two years she understand us till that wat we do. How to maintain or decrease her power by nature.
Doing Distance work is good for eyes, atleast 1 hr of Distance activity per day, you can try that.. also send me your glass prescription in my hospital number - 8148458741..

You can remove if it becomes normal.. it’s actually opposite, if you don’t wear, Power will definitely increase.. if you wear and do Distance work maybe your power will come down or at least it will not increase further..

They suggest to wear glasses.. Should I wear constantly or only system working time, reading time what should now do can u suggest me
You should wear glasses at all times except during sleeping and taking bath.. there are other options like contact lens and refractive surgery like LASIK to consider.. Do Distance activity to decrease or atleast to stabilise your eye power..

What is the difference between Laser and Lasik surgery can u pls explain sir?
Laser is a broader term sir.. there are many procedures which we do with laser.. LASIK is for correcting refractive error that is eye power.. to see without glasses for distant vision.. we use a specific laser for that procedure, it is called femto second laser..

Hi sir, I have headache on right side from 2 years, few months before I checked with eye doctor and he prescribed me a power glass of 0.50, after using that power glass, now sometimes I get a pain on middle forehead very Worstly, please what will be the problem, but I don't have any sight problem I can see very clear by long distances or short distance
I have only headache issue, but when I wear that glass some times the pain decreases
Is wearing power glass for my headache problem will cure it or not
Whether I should continue my power glass or not
Please help me to relieve from this confusion
0.50 power won’t help much with your headache, find out other causes of headache.. if it really helps please continue wearing it..

Upto -8 we can do.. but it also depends on your corneal thickness too.. and varies from patients to patients..

It doesn't increase or decrease on wearing glasses.. short sight will become worse on doing continuous near work without breaks..

What is -2 dioptres?
Minus power is for concave Lens, given for myopia.. diopter is the unit and it is inversely proportional to focal length.. if you want, I will make a video explaining all these terms..

If power is less like yours, try doing distance activity everyday for 45 min.. Distance activity means You should look far ahead like looking at trees, garden, open ground, etc and avoid cell phones, take a break while doing Near work.. if power is more, then LASIK / PRK, etc is the option..

Actually I had dizzy and nauseous feeling so i went to the doctor for eye check up then he said that my eye is good but there is less power in my eyes he said, so what should I do doctor to avoid this dizzy and nauseous feel? Please rply😞
It could be BPPV, consult an ENT doctor, if he says no BPPV, then consult Neurologist.. Also check your BP, Blood sugar..

Cataract surgery should be done for cataract.. there is no home remedy after the cataract has been formed.. the surgery is very advanced and safe these days..

Better to wear glasses sir, you can try doing Distance activity.. distance activity can decrease the power, atleast it will stabilise the power..
