So cool! The gigantic wheels make the boots look like they're made for kids, but knowing Lino's foot size, it's just a testament to how huge these wheels are! Thanks for a great review that answered many (all) of my questions!
Ricardo Lino - Very well done review, and thank you for addressing the fundamental questions that we all seek answers to. Your assessment with these larger wheels is right on point. Another point is the fact that as wheels get bigger, the amount of adjustability on the frame also must increase. I returned the Outback SUVs because the Trinity mount did not permit sufficient adjustment to use them - they actually had half as much movement on frame as my 125mm marathon skates, but actually needed 2x as much. Keep up the great work - you certainly are going no where but UP!
No matter how big the wheels is...all this shocks ...and sudden stops..and jerks will never go away..as long as it have this small same bearings. This evenings i put on big wheels..but damm it still have too much shocks...This is because even though the wheels are big they still roll in a small bearings inside. Its 2021, its time to have new ideas to create big bearings which will make revolution in skatings world once and forever.
Hello I just bought a pair of Next Edge SUV and would like to know if having only 2 of these wheels would make it "better" for longer rides, regarding weight... But I'm also concern about proper feet support. I haven't received my skates yet... Will test it out this weekend
It's good to finally see someone give these wheels a spin! I would love to see Powerslide evolve the 150mm wheel into a marathon set up, something more narrow, with a larger stiffer hub & a bit less urethane. Love the video, looking forward to seeing you mix the 2 wheel types. Thank you
Would be sick. BUT it's not really a wheel for fast movements.. final marathon sprint or so.. and because its taller Accentures every bad foot placement ..but for someone with a good technique it's an awesome long distance setup 👌🏻
Nice skating on those. If you want to go faster and be more agile, I suggest tossing the middle wheels to save weight. I would still add 8mm spacers to keep the frame rigid or install tiny wheels with custom width spacers. Just avoid stair rolls afterward :)
Good point on just leaving the bearings and spacers installed. Turning can still be done by lifting the toes slightly so less weight is on them though it won't be quite the same.
Hi man , could you open your sentences more ? Thanks, like tossing middle wheels mean and 8mm spacers ? I have been using offroad one so I like to undertand exactly what u meant
@@abdulsamedputun96 By tossing, I just mean to take it off. The extra spacers are unnecessary if the bearings and original middle wheel spacer are kept on with the axle. Only the wheel itself would then be removed. Again, just to save on weight.
Thank you so much This is the best Channel I Ever Seen You are very nice and the unbelievable Good skater but also The product video's Help me so much voor ideas and Making my choices❤
I use my off road skates (I have the Powerslide renegade 125mm) with poles as a bridge between roller skis and inline skates so I do use mine on pavement with the rubber wheels. This is because some of the paved roads where I live are steep and have a lot of hills. My roller skis don't turn as well as my inline skates so the off road inline skates are at most functional on this type of terrain for me, because I have a lot more control. I probably won't buy the PU wheels for my off road skates because I will just use my inline skates when I am on easier terrain. Having said that though, I am going to buy a new skate that has 125mm PU wheels so I have the option of better performance on rougher terrain with my inline skates.
Yeah mix it up! Will be interesting to know how it feels to get different grip. I also thought about mixing for example regular wheels with storm surge wheels when being wet outside. Would you say that you get better support with the EVO then using Imperials?
When will we have off road tires of 125 mm (for rough roads with loose gravel) with deep tread (square pattern tread)? You typically need that for skating with traction. It is perfect for tracks with dust and small gravel.
You could probably work a natural rocker in there by running no middle wheel for a few dozen km, I would think you could almost 3 wheel wizard if you managed a good rocker... sick video man
I've got outback frames and PVC 150 wheels. I like them. However, cuff brake bake that goes for this frame destroyed back wheel in a few rides. Because cuff brake locks back wheel, wheel starts sliding on asphalt and becomes square. So, you need to be very skilled in braking without a cuff brake or to buy a new wheel after each ride.
i really wanted to have tri skate. but i cant afford it . thats why i follow your channel coz you did great job expressing details and feelings while using those skates that u had 😊
First time i saw you doing a mohawk, nice :D Did you ever get your Hands on the PS edge (2 wheeled offroad frame)? There are NO reviews or comparisons on the internetz O. O" why?
i'm glad to see that you are going to make a full review on the rubber tires on pavement! Also gratz with powerslide official instagram posting a video of you rocking these huge 150mm monsters! Do you think that if powerslide wanted, they could make it even better to skate if they made a frame specific to these huge wheels? what would be an improvement? making the wheels close to eachother with a shoter frame? making the wheels closer to the skate with a lower frame? In my skating experience i'm all about cruising smoothly through long distances, but as of right now i've only skated 80mm, wanted some 84mm 85a for my skates but those are hard to come by, also can only dream on getting the next 125mm *-*
@@janhauser285 i Live in Brazil so tri skates have Just become a thing in our market, and there is only one skate store that sells rollerblades, powerslides, sebas, flyingeagle etc. And ofc they cost A LOT. A 400 euro skates costs here 2 and a half minimum salary, how is that gona be feasible? I have my roces argon for a year now and still trying to raise money for New wheels, cant see myself getting a new pair of skates in the near future, even more so in the crisis our country is facing...
Wow, the lack of empathy or contact with reality almost hurts. You don't have to be in jail to not be able to afford new fancy things every week, or every year. I also would love to try triskates but, when I can finally afford a new pair of skates, I'm not risking choosing something so very different from what I'm used to, when I don't know how many years they will have to last...
Hey Lino. So i just bought some Powerslide Swell Trinity 100mm triskates. Very good skates and i like how stabile they are without it cutting circulation to my ankle like my older beginner skates. Only thing i still have with these skates is my feet start hurting after about 15 minutes on skates. What do you recommend for comfort and performance?
Hey Lino, have you thought about trying to put 125mm wheels on the SUV frame? I know it's kind of unorthodox, but it might be nice to have a very long frame with a lot of space between the wheels with the benefits of big wheels. I kind of imagine it as being an oversized version of the stock Katana 90mm setup you get with the HC EVO.
this is a cool option, and i like that it's available. but for how expensive, heavy, and more unweildy those wheels are, i think i'd rather buy another set of smaller frame sand wheels, for the streets, for just a bit more.
I have a doubt. Sure it's silly but ... what happens if you mix inflatable wheels with fast wheels? One in front and one behind, for example. Does it have any peculiarity? More speed or stability, for example.
mountveggie ah come on man. Takes time and dedication.. some guys are som much better.. but what I keep saying is the same. We gotta enjoy it. The rest comes
Hey Ricardo most of the times i skate with a big group of cyclists on the streets we do between fifteen to twenty miles and most of the time we do speed do you think with those one fifty wheels i will go faster by the way my skates are powerslide grand prix one twenty five.
one hard wheel in the middle is going to be super unstable. maybe one soft in the middle is something, but not one hard in the middle. it's going to be really bad, is my prediction.
Thanks for an awesome video! My 4x110mm and 3x125mm are always harder to turn when they're brand new and after rotating them---I hate rotating my wheels for that reason. However, I suspect that these will maneuver much better after a few more hours of carving and distance. Also, the frame length is in the range for marathon skates: they're 12.9" while most marathon frames are around 12.5"-13.0". The real difference is the wheel weight---they weigh in ~365g (wheel + bearings) whereas my marathon 125mm + bearings are 186g (but worn down a bit---already rotated at least once). That's almost double the wheel weight! I would really like 150mm wheels to help with the bad pavement that I encounter on my commute and when traveling to new places. Now I just need to find the right high-cuff trinity boot for the balance between distance skating (ventilation) and off-road (rigid). My metropolis SUV 125mm skates were great in the dirt-jump park, but too slow everywhere else (I'd rather be mountain biking on most mountain bike trails and I'd rather be on pavement with PU wheels).
COME LINO!!! DOPE INTRO!!! IM ALREADY HOOKED BABY!!!!

Could you do the same test run with the 2 wheel Edge frame? I’ve been dying to see it. I think the frame is shorter and it cuts out the weight.
I guess you're totally right but i don't have that frame with me... maybe in a few weeks ill be able to do it :)

try it both ways! ie, pneumatic wheel on the ends and pneumatic wheel in the middle. No idea what'll happen either way, never skated pneumatic wheels.

what frame did you use with these, is there a specific one that needs to be bought to comepensate for the larger wheels?

mastichka o have the regenade boots and frames.. might do it soon. But I don't have the edge. Sorrry

I saw a setup with just two of these wheels. How would that work? It was on a frame for two wheels.

Do you think that with a urethane wheel in the middle it would actually make the SUV skate rockered???
what would it be like with 2 wheels rather than 3 on a smaller frame for possibly increased agility? cool video 👍
Guess with such a big contact surface they will be decent for rain skating. Check that if you'll have chance.
Nik Zvi Inline will do dude. I believe bigger footprint should be better (like you're saying). But it's still 3 points of contact only .will test

What music is playing in the background?
They need to be pre-rockered. How did you turn on flat with that long frame?
yap..rockering would be a thing.. but in off-road skates that doesn't exist and this is an off-road frame..
