    Like the lying down a good strand of the seeds, instead of being so finicky.
    Having trouble with astrantia and verbena bonariensis seed not germinating.
    Should I leave them in the seed raising mix and continue to wait or try again in winter?
    BTW, I never use hand creme....but I do have callouses and no fingerprints.....those are the hands of a true gardener,..😊
    Jo from New Zealand. Spring is here!

      We all have oils in our skin when we sweat which is the same.
      But I get exactly what you are saying. It takes about a week away for my hands to be clean 😅
      Enjoy your gardening and have a great spring

    Wow. I never thought about the hand cream. I collect seeds all the time. I always test the viability of said seeds. Sometimes, they grow sometimes not. If not, out they go. Thx for another great video.

    Some of those seed heads are good for flower arrangement. Could you please introduce a few plants good for dried flowers? Thank you Rosy.

    Great video again. This might be a silly question but on the grasses that you laid down in the seed tray in the tray that germinated is every blade of grass an actual plant or do you use the whole clump for one plant? Thanks Deb.

      Every blade will be a new plant. We normally take a pinch which would mean about 3-5 plantlets potted up

    Thank you. Please give a common name also. I love your videos and education, but I don’t know all the scientific names.

    Thank you! Can I plant my collected seeds in the garden in the Spring, or do I have to put them in a seed tray first?

    • @rosyhardy18
      @rosyhardy18 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can always broadcast into the garden, however success rate varies depending on the critters around who may eat it all…

    Thank you for this information. Do Petunias have seeds, & if so do they work? Or can I take cuttings of them? I’ve got 3-4 unusual double petalled ones which I would love to grow again

    • @rosyhardy18
      @rosyhardy18 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Double flowered forms rarely give much seed. Also hybrid plants tend not to come true from seed, so cuttings are the best way forward.

    Hi Rosy! EXCELLENT video! I don’t know if it’s my imagination but my 1st full year baptisia went right to seed. I don’t remember seeing the blue flowers as I had last year. Is it possible for plants to go right to seed? Thanks!

    • @rosyhardy18
      @rosyhardy18 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is unlikely for them to go straight to seed. Flowers can be hidden by lush growth and also not last long, so you miss seeing them.
