  • The Buck Compadre 104 Camp Knife is one of the best knives under $100 I've seen that is 100% made in the USA, including the leather sheath. And of course, like all Buck Knives, this knife comes razor sharp right out of the box. (Note: it looks like the price went up since I recorded this video a few days ago but it is still a great knife for the money) The best price I found for this knife is now $99.

In this modern age we tend to get too caught up in steel composition, grind angles blade and handle designs and sometimes we can forget that simple is sometimes better and this knife seems to hit that mark. A happy Independence Day to you and your family Brian.

These can break while battoning. After 3 days of typical use while camping it snapped clean at the jimping during battoning. Now ive had a few schrades do the same and in the same spot (at the jimping) I think that if you want to baton with your knife I would avoid jimping or any grinds made to the spine in anyway. I do not condone battoning and I know its on me if something happens so I wont blame the brand, however I figured I wont be buying my next blade with jimping. Thinking Bark River jimpless and rampless Bravo or something of that style.

I'd be more interested if it was a flat grind.

Like seeing you away from the ol' stump top. Bryan, l like it except, I do not know how tall you are but that grip looked a little small to me, you didn't look comfortable on the "chop" test like you was resetting your hand alot. Stay in the woods my friend.

Blade Hq & Amazon wants more than my local retail outdoor store. Pandemic ripoffs. I finding knives cheaper or the same price at retailers. I would rather help the brick & cement stores since the online Bozos are taking advantage of everyone.

I like to support my localbusinesses when I can too but I don't think this pricing on BladeHQ or Amazon has anything to do with any pandemic. That's just the usual price

Joseph I wish the price was a little lower. Not exactly for the common man to just go out and buy. I cant afford it, that’s for sure! It’s a really great knife though.

It was $80 on BladeHQ when I recorded this a couple of weeks ago.

    Well, it's Dec 2021 and it's not $80 anymore; it's $110.
