The denigration and dismissal of Mind-Only view in Tibet (17th Karmapa, January 2022)

In this short clip from Day One of a 2022 teaching on the Thirty Verses of Indian Buddhist master, Vasubandhu, the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje speaks about how the Mind-Only (Yogacara Cittamatra) view, which used to sit happily and harmoniously side by side with the Middle Way (Madhyamika) view in Indian Buddhist centres of learning, like Nalanda, gradually came to be dismissed and denigrated in Tibet without properly understanding it, and the importance of studying and understanding it properly.
