    Great vid! Couple things; overtaking a vehicle - or multiple vehicles on a twisty road with double yellow diving lines is extremely unsafe. If you are riding with a group, ride your own ride. If they want to peel away at ‘warp 6’, let ‘em go. Especially if you don’t know the roads and the attitude of local law enforcement. Sorry if I sound a bit preachy, comes with age and experience. Oh yeah, everything is bigger in the US, sandwiches and RVs are two examples. 😄

    Fun video to watch, and a warm welcome to the USA! I don't live anywhere near California but there's still a comradery between motorcyclists in this great country. And yes, that policeman certainly made that stop about as problem-free as one could imagine.

    Just past Jenner is the best twisties on the Cali coast, the Sonoma Coast. At the North end of hwy1 is my favorite section of hwy1, from the water to Leggett. North on 101 past Leggett is the Avenue of the Giants. That is the place you want to go if you want to see Redwoods. Santa Cruz mtns. do have some good redwoods too but no first growth forest. You should rent my bike next time you in the BayArea, LOL.

    Great video, however, you were constantly passed cars when there are two double lines. You cannot do that in the US on a motorcycle, if caught, you won't get a warning, you will get a ticket. California is the only state in US that allows lanes splitting. You laughed it off in a response to previous caution, but drive safely. Your life and perhaps a family out for drive coming the other way depends on you using good judgement.
    Just take it as friendly advice since California is 1.7and US is 40 times larger than Great Britain and you decide to come back again explore more of our country. Like to ride roads with curves, the Tail of the Dragon on the border of Tennessee and South Carolina has 318 curves in 11 miles.

      @@EllieBikes I’m from Adelaide and we have the perfect blend of coast and hills twisties along the Fleurieu Peninsular for a day’s outing. However, the Eastern seaboard is where the real riding is at. Check out the Great Ocean Road in Victoria or the Blue Mountain Ranges in NSW… But if your gonna visit Oz, start in Vic and head North to Far North Queensland - early Autumn OR mid Spring would be the perfect month for a moto-tour. Go Well, Stay upright and keep living life chook! (and bring on part II!).. ;)

    Awesome video. Keep riding and be safe. I haven't ridden since 2014 and miss it. Going cross country on a motorcycle is definitely on my bucket list. The only thing I'd say about this video is don't pass on double yellow solid lines. Most people don't expect to be passed since it's not a passing lane. Only dash lines are for passing.

    • @EllieBikes
      @EllieBikes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    as a biker in america the one thing you can usually count on is other bikers are kinda like family whether you know them or not, if you are parked along side the road sometime it's totally normal for another biker to stop and see if you need help. there have been times when a bike would go flying past me when i was in a parking lot working on my bike and the rider turned around and came back to make sure i was ok, we stick together and take care of each other here, even if your not from here, if you are on a bike then you are family. Also just so you know,, you got very lucky that day, the only reason you didn't get a ticket is because there were to many of you for just one highway patrol to handle by himself and there wasn't any assisting officers available to come help him, also in case no one told you, in a lot of california, getting a ticket for anything over 89 miles per hour can be a very expensive thing.....

    People who watch videos with bikes want to hear the bike when you ride. Not a lousy music choice or chatting with no or low audible bike sounds. Model it after ichyboots and you will get over a million. She doesn't make enough videos which is why I am here. Get a mic on your helmet. Not sure why she is the only woman to do that. The world is open to you. Just trying to help and get the content I'm looking for. Can't STAND pc/propaganda TV shows/talk shows/media anymore. Looking for alternatives. Awesome ride.
