The vibrators...the reason I'm still a punk after 43 years
1979 году услышал Вибраторов в первый раз! Дело было в СССР.
Полюбил группу раз и навсегда!
Ever noticed how Peel Sessions are better produced than the official Albums????
Not always true - but certainly true here!
It's a well known fact
More raw power here. Over production has always existed! Don't catch bands this clean these days without a backtrack!!!
Always. The pure rock feeling
Love or peel
Pure Mania is probably one of the best punk LP’s of that period! At the centre of the very short lived explosion of punk The Vibrators were there and I saw them. Great live band!
I think Pure Mania was my first punk album and I agree with you about how great that album is.
I think "V2" is a bit better though.
Pure mania is my personal favourite punk album of all time!!!
These guys are legit card carrying members of punk class of 1977. This is their second Peel session and all the songs are from their debut album Pure Mania, released the same month as these Peels. They have pretty much left rock behind and are now a true punk band. On first listen these songs sound a little more stripped down than the album versions which have a slightly fuller sound. All in all, not a big difference, although I prefer this London Girls to the one on the LP. The Vibrators were one of the first British punk bands to have vinyl out in 1976 with the 7" We Vibrate/ Whips and Furs (11/76) They also recorded a whole Peel session in '76 which is also posted by the excellent Vibracobra23 channel. Pure Mania has certainly stood the test of time, proving beyond a doubt there could be a tremendous 1977 punk album in England that sounded nothing like the Clash or Sex Pistols.
ha ha another true story from the world of punk
i'll bet she really liked that album. sorry. couldn't resist.
+willieluncheonette Linda Rondstat is not a member of that class.
Good summary of a great band but one comment that you make, I'm not sure if I understand.. "They have pretty much left rock behind and are now a true punk band". I am wondering what you mean by that? After all almost all the punk rock of the mid to late seventies was 'rock' music. Do you mean that The Vibrators left 'pub rock' behind?
@@c.s.4428 Just happened to be checking in. Let me try to explain. The Vibrators played the 100 Club punk festival with lukewarm results. Older than most of the other bands and not quite fitting in, they played Beatles and Stones covers and even a version of Jerry Lee Lewis' Great Balls of Fire. (Goodness gracious!) Needless to say, the audience wasn't exactly jacked up by their performance. The songs on their first Peel session still show them enamored with catchy rock ditties, but on I'm Gonna Be Your Nazi Baby they start to punk out. I assume their songs at the 100 Club festival are just plain rock. You can call it pub rock if you want--to each his own.
the beginning of baby baby is hypnotic
That's the stuff
Bought this album Pure Mania on Cassette tape ! on holiday in Holyhead Anglesey , got chased down the street with chasers shouting Dirty Punk , absolutely brilliant times , loved it 😀
Glad you got away!
Vrdd 😆😆😆
Hell yeah, man!
What can u expect from the Welsh ?
Yes I was a 1977 crazy clatty punk. But it was the best times of my life.
My, this is much better than the album versions.
Top epco-
All the punk bands were better live. The ruts live are on another level. I mean the studio album the crack is fantastic but hear them live is sublime
1977 Brilliant

Superb!
the best !
Great band, Flying Duck Theory is brilliant
Its certainly is. And "24 Hour People" is the very best.
Track 3 breaks my heart everytime I hear it. Boom🌿
This is superb. Done.
Very very very good!!! Pubrock transformed in Punk Rock at the best practices...
Underrated at the time, easily on of the best early punk rock albums. I saw them supported by the Sex Pistols & then 37 years later they played my venue where I served them dinner. Fabulous band.
Sensacional essa playlist!...
Awesome tone on the the second guitar on "Baby Baby". I got a laugh out of the way it just drops out of the mix and then drops back in. Hey, accidents happen.
No mistake, just your ears hearing a ghost note.
gran banda saludos de viña del mar chile

baby baby!
excellent versions - better than the album,
Saw the Vibrators twice back in March 77 supporting Iggy Pop at The Rainbow Finsbury Park. David Bowie was playing keyboards for Iggy. What a bil. The tickets cost less than £3 iirc. Great value for money.
A few years later I was in a band and our drummer had previously worked with Stiv post Vibrators. A great underrated band.
More than just another trashy punk outfit.
They remind of the NY Dolls in places.
Rico Fresquez favorite band ♥️
The only original Punk band still playing. Am I right?
Seems like the UK ones are still going strong, but maybe with different members? The Ruts, Rezillos/Revillos?
only the drummer !
Buzzcocks? Minus Pete RIP
The Damned
UK Subs, Steve Ignorant - in fact a whole load of them judging by the bill at Rebellion 2014 in hte UK...
Fan Fuckin' Fantastic

What's song 2?
It's called Keep It Clean. The full tracklist is in the description.
Kinda makes Green Day sound not so good...
No punk band these days will ever outdo The Vibrators! Green Day are good in their own rights, and no doubt, some of their songwriting is influenced by the Vibrators.
@@unixfreak are green day that good lol they are more Ramones core anyway
