Im actually surprised Gary Neville rightly called this out, given he's a Manure fan. Respect to him for doing so. Totally agree Ffp needs a massive shake-up ! As you rightfully said it's placement is their to protect the breakaway. 6. No more, no less. The cap needs increased with inflation etc, etc. The numbers should be 300 million. I keep saying this, but we need to get it challenged in court. We've got nothing to lose, & a blind man can see it's skewed toward the breakaway 6

@@happinesstan😂😂😂😂 sky haven’t had a “transfer exclusive” for about 20 years mate. They’re literally the last people on the planet to know anything. The only “exclusive” stories they have are ones they completely made up on the spot…. Like Werner to Man United, even when the whole world knew he was going to Spurs, Darmesh still stood on live TV telling us that even though united had no interest in the player, it’s still an important update because “clubs sometimes change their mind” 😂😂😂

Spot on there mind, spot on. Far from protecting less well off clubs it's stopping everyone else from breaking into the top 6 with a few temporary exceptions. Like you say, Blackburn, Leicester, even the like of us last season (as yet one hit wonders) clubs can pop into the club now and then during the season but none are really welcome are they?

The clubs have the power to change it, the clubs are all shareholders, they have meetings where they vote on these changes, they voted these rules in, they can vote for the change too. Looks like that is happening at the next meeting. People are stupid if they don't realise this is why Darren Eales said what he said, the club want people talking about it. Also this has a lot to do with the absence of loans to the club from Saudi this window, we don't want to be seen by other club owners as absolute sharks. There must be loads of dialogue going on behind the scenes between club owners, and I think this is where Amanda is invaluable, Let's see what happens in summer when they have the big meeting.

Morning Chris, agree it will change but hope doesn’t take too long, in the meantime although frustrating I think that our squad when fully fit is pretty good, the players that can rotate and/ot come off bench will mean the exhaustion we’ve seen this year will be gone and opposing teams will have to worry about our in game tactical changes. Secondly as the new owners commercial team unravel the previous regimes shite management our financial power will improve for years to come, I’m still thinking we finish 6th and win the FA Cuo 😜, ever the optimist!! As you touched on with Portsmouth, wasn't the whole point of FFP originally just to stop clubs spending beyond their means and getting into financial difficulties? How can you apply that to a club like Newcastle with litrally richest owners in football that could pritty much buy every other club in the league, such is their wealth?

As an Everton fan I agree with you. Everyone who is up there own arse in the media keep saying everyone signed up for these rules so we should shut the fuck up and accept them? The thing is nobody can produce a piece of paper that shows Everton signed up for a points deduction if over the limit because it doesn’t exist? There is no penalty written down for breaking FFP so a few months after charging Everton the Premier League realised this and brought in a points deduction? What a shower of shit they are and I think it’s about time the fans got together to fight the corrupt leaders at the top???

Also I think if a small percentage of buys and sales from the big guns went back into football and I’m talking clubs way down in the National league where they’re so underfunded 50K could stop them from going under. … give it to a few those clubs a season to help solidify the sport at grass roots level. I think people would feel happier. I know I would. Not sure if the logistics but it’s an idea so everyone benefits

What is needed Chris is a government independent voice that will not be swayed by the corrupt running of the Premier League where everything revolves around Liverpool, Man U, Spurs etc. Every team in the league should have equality in decisions which doesn't happen at the moment.

    @subclasshero6391 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

I've said for ages now - keep something like FFP/PSR, but make changes.
    1. The £5m loss/£30m investment allowed each year should be linked to real-world inflation. Otherwise the gap will keep getting bigger. There's no reason not to do this except to benefit the Sky 6.
    2. Allow club owners to put money in escrow if they want to spend over that, again linked to the £35m but cap it using football infation rather than real world inflation. Players cost about 3x as much as they did when those rules came in. This lets clubs catch up, but they can't be put in danger by overspending owners because the money for the whole contract is safe. Could add allowances for different things - e.g. "you qualified for Europe, you can spend another £25m this summer for depth as long as it's invested"
    3. Stop punishing teams trying to improve. It's ridiculous that Forest are being punished for getting more money for a player because it was a few weeks too late. Save the points deductions for intransigent teams who aren't trying to comply, and malicious stuff like the City charges. Relegating teams that are already on a knife-edge financially is not going to save them.
    4. Use the interest from the escrow money (and maybe a small surcharge on certain spending, like a single player over £50m attracts a 1% tax maybe? Point is to get it off the really big spenders rather than teams operating lower down the food chain) for grants to teams lower down the pyramid, and just generally to help less well-off clubs.
    5. For every £ they spend on stuff outside the first team/U23s (so younger end of the academy, women, community teams etc.) let the owners put an extra 50p or something in the escrow spending account. It would encourage investment in those parts of clubs rather than just saying 'it doesn't matter' like now.
I don't think limiting outright losses is a bad thing, it does stop daft owners overextending and ruining clubs. But investment is being, in a roundabout way, as a loss. That's just illogical.

Newcastle have the ability to call a vote on the FFP rules and they only need 14 clubs to agree, the cartel 6 can be bypassed if all the other clubs agree, the issue is not enough will side with Newcastle and we cannot change the regulations on our own and no court in the land will be able to change that.

So i agree with Arsene Wengers call years back to Salary cap , because that will put pressure on overspending on top players and overrated players , signing on fee could negate this , but if you got funds without going bankrupt and issue a guarrentee ro EPl then you could level the playing field so your academy and scouts do their part and the 1st team do their part within the finanacial boundaries

100% Nonsense!!! NUFC is a brilliant club with fantastic supporters, but pumping money into it just like City did is not the answer!
Just because your club suffered hard times and watched your team play in lower leagues in the rain doesn't mean you automatically deserve to get rich owners with unlimited funds and launch the club into stratosphere of top level football by pumping money into the club.
Also, to the reference point about you won't get another situation like Leicester winning the league again... Well, It's currently happening with Girona in the La Liga.
If your talking about protecting the top 6. Aston Villa got into the top 4 through merrit alone and a new and exciting way of playing and Liverpool are one the most under funded clubs in the top 6. Klopp is regarded as one of the best managers in the world due to fact that he has built teams on absolutely no investment. Liverpool went through 4 transfer windows from 2021 to 2023 WITHOUT signing anyone. Liverpool's owners FSG are well known as being tight fisted owners who have a very strict sell first to buy policy.
It just sounds like a childish rant with no substance behind it. Just because Newcastle went from last year's success to dropping down the league order this year doesn't mean that because things didn't go your way the answer is pump more money into the club.
There were so many points this guy made but no one was able to challenge it. It seems like he is throwing so much $hit hoping something will stick.
I agree FFP needs to change but no way should it relax on it transfer policies or investment on players allowing massively rich clubs to open their doors and do what they want because they have had hard times in the past...
