Lao is not stuck in the past. If you are Lao and are not stuck in the past, you can have a wonderful experience visiting where you were born. My Lao American wife and I have been in Lao for over 20 years. I might not have given this advice 15 years ago, but I feel very comfortable in saying 'Please come and help even a little bit.' If you have heard of people having problems, then try to find out when it happened and why it happened. Do what you can to bring healing to the Lao family.
It brought tears to our eyes (good tears) to see those kids in a new school house, thanks to all who help build it. One day we will get to the school and make our contribution by providing our services as teachers and builders. All the best to you Todd and Clan. 🙏🙏 Be Well !

Was there at Muag Fueng on Valentine's... We were at the other white cabins.. They had toilets and shower in the rooms. But had a fun time there, would go back there again.

I think I would have preferred it that the cabins be more primitive, which includes the sites, keeping it as natural as possible. It’s advancing too quick, modernized. Another great video. Love your guys contribution to the school!!!
I don't know how the floating cabins survive during the heavy rain seasons in each year. This place must be a unique place for the retirement people who should take the couples or families for a long week vacation here.
It would be great if there were only a few bungalows by the river. Unfortunately all these people, the noise and the music would keep me from staying here. Beautiful location!
There was only a few 2 years ago.. it was ideal! Nice and peaceful.. now it's more of a party area and definitely not a place if you're looking for peace and quiet. 😔
My wife broke her foot as well stepping down from a log on to a tree root that was sticking out of the ground with all her weight braking 4 bones, 3 metal plates and more than 12 screws holding them all together. It took a full year to recover, the pleated and screws will stay in she doesn’t want to go through another surgery to remove them.
I was at that exact river hotel last month😄. For that price, I wished there was a toilet in the room. I had so many mosquito bites when using the toilet by the stairs😅.
Nice upgrade to the cabins Todd and being next to the bar / shop does have it’s advantages when in a cast Glad the school is almost finished but Todd you’re from ozz u don’t speak thru your nose like a limey lol 😂

There's a dam a few kms up upstream that regulates the flow. Even in the wet season it does rise much.
