Yes Sir that'll do. That is called isolation diode. A blocking diode is used to prevent current from the battery to flow back into the solar module at night. Nonetheless, most of the charge controllers (branded) in the market are equipped with blocking diode or relay to prevent the reverse flow of the current from the battery, eliminating the requirement to install extra blocking diode.
How would you round up I trip = 1.56 x 11.09 = 17.3A I sould go with 15 Amp fuse since the max fuse rating is 15 Amp ? thank you, I appreciate your videos. michael

Fuse should not be more than the maximum series fuse rating.. yap... Stick to 15A.
