- SIR Nigel Gresleys LNER A4 Class Loco 60007 was in charge of todays tour from Crewe to Carlisle over Shap and returning via the Settle to Carlisle line later. The streak was carrying The Stephenson Jubilee 65th Anniversary headboard, lucky the train ran at all after torrentiall rain all day yesterday and was one of the first to make it north to Carlisle with widespread cancelations today. First seen at Milnthorpe on a cool and blustery morning, later on the return at Settle Junction, leaving Long Preston, and Departing Hellifield .
Top notch coverage, SNG in fine form, doesn't get much better than that. Cheers for uploading this great footage 👍
thanks very much, indeed it was a great day for SNG today .
Outstanding coverage of Sir Nigel Gresley, thanks for sharing. Cheers Richard
Thanks very much, cheers for the comment and glad you enjoyed the coverage, Steve . 👍
When everything else fell by the wayside, Gresley's A4 showed them what it's all about!
Indeed it did Tim, very happy it ran today cheers Steve . 👍

Thanks very much for your comment of the days trip, glad you enjoyed your day out behing 60007 .
This happened on the Brighton main line at the end of 1993. 75069 was the only thing moving. Departed 30 mins late, on time at Victoria.
thanks very much for the comment .
Spot on Steve, surprised you only got the one shot in the morning or did you get caught out with the early departure from Grayrigg 🤔 with the two stops at the bottom end of the S&C they certainly worked to your advantage, cheers👍
Thanka Nige, got three shots in the morning, but only liked the one chosen as the afternoon locations worked out the best, decided not to try for shap in case it went early which it did, cheers . 👍🌝
Nice video. Sir Nigel Gresley is doing so well.
Thanks josh, yes a good run by 60007 .
Steve, Great captures and good to see SNG on the northern routes. Regards, John

Leave the diesel in a lonely forgotten siding. Sir Nigel is sullied by its presence.
Cheers, indeed and thanks for the comment whole hearted agree, but a sighn of the times . 🤔
Is my impression correct that British 3-cylinder power usually runs with the blower on nearly full-blast? I have noticed this too on Tornado. Why is that?
Thanks for your comment, hopefully someone can answer for you . 🤔
Great catches again Steve. But what weather we have had this week!! I got soaked this morning at Frodsham seeing SNG! At least it's making the grass grow.... not good for ne though!!
Sorry a bit late with a reply Phil, lot more rain last few days, land here not fit to go on after 4" rain in a week, glad though that SNG got through, cheers Steve .

Super thanks Philip for watching the video, keep tuned more videos on the way, cheers Steve .
Does this engine have three cylinders??
A little research proved that it does in deed have three cylinders. So glad to see this type of steam engine doing so well in this day and age. Too bad the management does not trust this engine enough to do its job unassisted.
CHAOS.....really ???????
thanks, maybe not for SNG but certainly chaos for the trains and passengers, and the line has been closed for a few days between Preston and Carlisle .
👍
cheers Russ . 🌝👍
Ugh. Those deisels at the back just ruin the image
Agree but seem the norm these days . 🤔
