Thank you for the tutorial. I will be using the half-square triangle method when I finally get to this pattern

You had your diamonds correct when you started but then changed it. The two pinks are touching, and the diamonds are no longer mirrored. If it is your focal star, it needs to be fixed. It will be a beautiful quilt when you're done.

Ages ago, when I was a very overconfident self taught beginner, I found out the hard way about bias edges and matching seams. I eventually developed a way to match seams without having to rip them out and stretch the bias over and over again. I was a determined little thing back then. I put a standing pin in the seams then pinned on each side just like you showed. Then I did a basting stitch on the machine. If it was bad I just had to grab one thread and pull it out while holding the fabric steady. When happy just sew as usual going over the initial basting stitches. Took me over a month to make a baby quilt. Lol

That imperfect center seam is about perfect compared to what mine always look like. I'm an awful sewist, but I'm trying!

I'm so glad you left that 1/16 or 1/8 off center seam. And I agree with your reasoning: when making the block, we notice every little thing that might be off. Once we get away from that level of piecing, we realize it's not that noticable. Thanks for the video 😊 🇺🇲

Beautiful, but I noticed the bits got mixed around so the teals and pinks are no longer opposites or mirrored. I’d fix that, but the points look close enough. Thanks for the tutorial.

I love the Lemoyne star. Thank you for sharing. Would you please give us the size of stripes and HST to make the smaller one?

I did not know making a 45 degree diamond was so easy! I notice you didn’t do a lot of pressing. Would that have helped make the, centre more accurate.
