Beautiful Ida! I would have never thought to use watercolor paper but it makes sense if you're painting. Tfs!

Thank you for this great review on both poinsettia dies. I almost bought the heartfelt creations die and stamp after seeing Wendy Sweet’s heartfelt poinsettia. I talked myself out of it as I have so many poinsettia dies. I do own several Susan Tierney dies from when she designed for Elizabeth Crafts. I even got to see her create her flowers at a scrapbook expo. I love her flowers. Your flowers are beautiful.

Thanks so much for the comparison I like the Spellbinders flower better too I’m sure it’s less expensive than Heartfelt Creations

I totally agree with you about the shaping mold I find I have to shape the flowers manually I still have to buy the molds when I order the flowers because Emma Lu doesn't show you how to shape the flowes anymore I love heartfelt but I also like spellbinders I have so many spellbinders dies

This was a great review Ms Ida. I ordered the entire kit from Heartfelt Creations, and just ordered the spellbinders set. Poinsettia is one of my favorite flowers, so I usually pick up the new products for this flower. Your flowers are beautiful, as always. Again thanks for sharing! Blessings

Hi Ida, your flowers are amazing! Have you ever tried Suzanne’s specialty paper, she sells for making her flowers? It’s sold on the Spellbinders website.

Nice review Ida...I have these sitting in a cart trying to decide so this is helpful. I do have a question...does the Susan Tierney come with a stamp set for veining or can you use the one from Heartfelt? Also are they both the same size?
    Thanks in advance

Hi Gina! No the Susan die is just the die but all the veining I did by hand. It is a little smaller than the heartfelt too. Susan has a video on youtube for her poinsettia and how to shape it. I hope this helps. Blessings.

All of the Susan Tierney Cockburn flora are dies only, but she gives detailed instructions on TH-cam for each flower type.

Beautiful Poinsettias. I'm still using the Tim Holtz one. I use stamens for my centers. I never liked the center that comes with the die. =^^=

I agree...the HC centers are not at all attractive in their newest poinsettia collection. I like to use yellow beads or stamens for my centers. Your finished flowers are beautiful!
