Great overview, thank you! Git integration as checkpoints looks neat!

Yeah, they are definitely on the right track, it will just take time. Though I don’t see how they can out compete dedicated IDEs though given their different nature of work compared to infra.

Doing this already half a year like this works perfect

Absolutely, having that always live dev environment is my favourite part of it.

Looks nice, but I think I will stick with Vercel for deployment :)

If you've already fine tuned your workflow around it, it can be as powerful as any

The Replit team has been kind enough to have already created one th-cam.com/video/e2BE8v4Bj-U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OLwrOfBtKXyVBhor

Great videos, and it has been really helpful as I am working in cursor to develop a new app. What do you recommend as additional places to learn coding using a cursor?

My main focus will be diving much deeper into the mid-stage production usage tips of these tools which is something I've not found in the past.
But if you are looking to get started, these are the channels I've also watched in the past:

Great video! You touch on a problem I have been having when Replit deployment and the database; I notice each time I pushed a new deployment to prod, my search function would not retrieve anything, like the data was gone…and that had been driving me crazy. I couldn’t understand completely what you were advising to fix this. Can you explain what I need to do to solve this issue? Thanks

Worth checking the logs to see what the error is first so that we can narrow down on the problem. Happy to help out.

totally agree, maybe Yifan can queue a video on more serious deployment including databases (a must for any serious web app), somehow separating out prod and dev environments and making sure changes on one (by customers) and the other (by us as devs) do not overwrite each other etc. maybe use supabase or firebase and sql or nosql DBs

@@IonidisIX great call. you've just helped moving the db episode up the rank

@@YifanBTH I don't see many videos like that around, and you seem to naturally hone on things that are essential and explaining them in sufficient detail and brevity. These are key features we look at when we watch tutorials on tech and other stuff. You strike a great balance between the two, so not wanting to stress you about this, i'll just ask you to focus on what you naturally do well, and you'll nail it on the head once again. :)

@@IonidisIX you words is too kind my friend. I'm really happy you feel this way. the issue you've outlined is exactly the reason why I created the channel. there's already plenty great "getting started" videos, but no to little content on guiding people on the next steps, real world usage. keep your eyes out on future video
