Hi I have carving for 40yrs .I lost an eye in 2012 ,still want to carve. I have been doing power carving because it is not detailed .I want to continue ,I have Fordem power caver and a old dremel . really enjoy your video ,have a long to go but I need the challenge not to feel sorry for myself . Julien
Are the taper burs and set links you provided what you're really using? The Kutzal site looks a bit different but that could be a bad image. Checking cause I've got my extreme flame burr now and some basswood is coming in, so I'm waiting to see if I'm all good to start power carving soon.
@@carvingandsuchI see that all the taper links you have are different sizes/coatings. I'm just trying to confirm they're the same in the video, I'm having trouble comparing and I don't think I've seen you use the fine 1/4"x1/2" taper burr(second link) yet. Are you using the same diamond bit set you have listed as well for detail work here?
I checked and the two taper are corse and the diamond bit set i using is the same what i have in the description 👍 the longer taper probably I should clean 😃 and one more thing I using 1/8 shafts not 1/4. You have to choose that first before buy.
@@carvingandsuch Gotcha, sounds like I'm set then. Oh, I know the shaft is 1/8 for them all. That was the head size I gave regarding the second link, sorry if that sounded confusing. Is it true you can just clean burrs used on wood with a bit of fire to burn it off?
That’s bad to hear. What did you do? Few years ago a I made a mistake and the lancelot disk butchered my two fingers good. But doctor did a great job and fix them. It will heals just hold on.

Pretty easy to clean just use a small torch burn the wood out and use a wire brush to clean it . After that looks like new 👍
