Andy, two songs which affected me greatly were - Celine Dion and the Bee Gees singing Immortality. It is stunning. There is a great live video. Secondly, a singer who was regarded by some as the greatest of his era - Mario Lanza who was American. There is a video of him from a feature film in a church singing Ave Maria. I am not a Catholic so that "hymn" was not one close to my heart his voice and the intense emotion of the scene melt even the hardest of hearts.
