Greatest quarterback era was the 90s, and I’m not sure that it’s even close. Farve, Aikman, Young, Kelly, Moon, Marino, Elway etc. These guys played in a far more difficult NFL in terms of the physicality and having far more responsibility in terms of running the offense. The guys you named were all time greats but they had the undeniable benefit of playing in an NFL where the degree of difficulty was clearly reduced because of the rule changes for player safety and to increase offensive scoring and numbers.
Man the 2011 season the season that made me love this sport from Tebow mania to the packers 15-1 season man what a time and my god that fox scoreboard 😮💨❤️

The packers defense forced turnovers all year in 2011. They were tied for 1st with SF for most takeaways with 38 on the season. They just gave up a lot of yards which was most likely a by-product of how quickly and often the offense was scoring.
2011 Packers were such a bad team. I know, 15-1 but this was the beginning of our 8 year stretch of bad defenses. How can you give up 38 against Rivers who throws 3 INTs? In hindsight, it was clear as day that this team was bad and that Rodgers stellar season glazed over all the problems.
@@noahjones3538 I wouldn't say the defense "sucked", they led the league in takeaways and almost had the same defensive lineup from the year before. I think the difference was the packers high powered offense, and how opposing teams would have to be aggressive, throwing the ball a lot because they spent most of the game playing while behind
IMHO, as a Charger fan who went to many games at the Q, that wasn’t the case prior to the 2010s. That stadium would be packed with passionate Charger fans as far back (I was born in 1988) as I can remember.
Nah I couldn't disagree more. San Diego natives LOVED there Chargers. This is the GB Packers, who along with the Steelers and the Cowboys, have long had traveling and/or nationwide fanbases.

The biggest difference I see today is that the offensive lines do not hold up as well in pass protection. The D lineman today are ferocious

2011, this was after the Packers' SB season (2010).
The year that they looked like they would get there again, only to have their faces melted off their skulls by the Giants in their first playoff game.

From 2011-2020, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers left at least a few potential SB's on the table due to playoff upsets.
