2:06 I like to see you starting out the test drive like a real mustang owner, dont look both ways, pretend your the only one that exists and floor it. 🤣
Worth of mentioning that Lucas also keeps the previous mods updated. So not that youre only getting a dev-quality mod, but they also get updated to work with future BeamNG versions. Definitely gonna buy this mod! Few bucks for that much work is like nothing. He deserves to get something in return for all the hours he has used to this and his other mods.
If I wasn’t tearing my computer apart to get fixed, I’m sure I’d be loving that mod now…and I’m not even a big Mustang person! LucasBE’s mods are always dev quality and look very pretty! Nice review of it!
Having owned a 94 Mustang and currently own a 02 Mustang GT, that is a incredible Beam universe recreation. Also having seen what the 94 looked like after a 45mph rear end collision, damn accurate crash model
Awesome mod, respect the work, but I hate the fact that the beamng community started to make paid mods. It's a sandbox game, why do you need to make money out of a mod, just share your work free with other players if you want to. And there are lots of paid mods that are absolutely crappy. I don't wish to see in the near future only paid quality mods.
It has serious issues: the driveshaft breaks easily, and brake-force multiplier is bugged, which makes the rear suspension jump while braking. Also for some reason "lightweight quarter glass" occasionally doesn't load (looks like regular quarter glass). And the mod is quite bare-bones, as well: no alternative head or tail lights, no rally suspension or lights, very limited hood and bumper choices, in fact it doesn't even have custom fender flares. V8 does sound glorious though, because they copied the sound from Grand Marshall 4.5 V8.
@@NoeLopez-wt3ef Typical half-assery from the paid modders. It's a good mod, but not worth 4 dollars. I'm happy to have leaked it. F Lucas, he's a prick anyway. Bought it immediately and its worth it for the driving feel and the sound alone. It looks amazing too. Buy it, you wont be disappointed! (Drag setup does actually pull to the right if you use a wheel!)
It doesn't even have accurate cabinfilter coefficients for the windows and top, takes all of 5 minutes to add cabin filter effects. It's a lazily made mod, and barely dev quality. It would have been a good free mod, its nowhere near the quality of something like the CCF... It re-uses a TON of vanilla 3D models. The interior is mediocre and could be modeled in 8 hours... NTM the vanilla engine sounds... For 4 dollars we should get at least a custom sound... The only thing with any amount of real effort put into it is the body model itself. Everything else is mediocre... This is coming from someone who makes scratch vehicles for free..
@VaultDude101 You seem to know what you're doing so it may seem that way to you. Maybe the creator is taking time away from work and needs the reimbursement to continue to do it. I just think it's great there are people out there like you that are helping to make something better and a game that allows you to do so when they could just do what other companies do and delete all non developers code with each update. Microsoft does it all the time, even to delete their own programs.
@ there is no sn97. SN95s were 94-04. 94-98 had more curved bodies and 99-04 were sharper, I believe that’s why they called them new edges as well. Technically 79-04 are on the same chassis. That’s why you can put a 03-04 terminator cobra IRS in a foxbody.
If the mod is good and the maker is putting their own time and effort into it then I think its fair that they ask for something in return. There are a lot of shaddy people out there charging for really crappy mods. This guy isn't one of them.
Paid mods are scummy & we need to stop pretending that it's acceptable. I'm not interested. I'm not paying for something that likely WON'T be supported until the full release of the game. When this mod breaks & the creator is bored, I doubt he'll be issuing refunds... They just take the money & run. No thanks. Mod because it's a passion project, stop bringing greed into everything.
I bet you have never worked on anything for others. Especially not put as much effort as this modded has. The only reason mods that are this good exist is because he can make some money and support himself with the funds
Kinda crazy how a 4-dollar mod doesn't even have proper cabin filter effects, It's not that difficult to make the top and windows have a cabin filter coefficient that increases the interior sound level when open, just the typical quality from paid modders. Charging money and he didn't even include a custom sound on top of the lazy cabin filter, NTM the drag config has horrible traction, it 1/8 miles like shit and the only reason its capable of 7 second 1/4 miles is because if how much it pulls in the top end. A drag car is supposed to hook up Lucas, not spin the tires 1-2nd gear.. Its overall a decent mod yes, but if you want people to pay a premium for your mods then people are going to be critical of every aspect... And this is barely dev quality...
Cabin filter effects like the ones you mention are not supported by the base game and require hackjob LUA code that has the potential to break any update. Whenever the developers add an official system for dynamic muffling, rest assured it will be included in the mod. "It's not that difficult" I'm assuming comes from someone that has little to no experience with modding and doesn't know how BeamNG's systems work. Regarding the sounds, anything I could make would be MUCH worse than the vanilla sound files. The engine sound is made of mixed Bastion/Grand Marshall V8 sounds, which are way better than anything I could ever come up with, I'm not a sound engineer. The rest of the content (3D model, Jbeam, textures, etc.) are all 100% custom made, from scratch, following developer techniques and workflows. I can agree on the drag config being a tad weird. I'll look into it but I'm not exactly a drag racing specialist so my setups won't be 100% perfect. Overall, and in all modesty, I do believe this is developer quality. I'm following their exact workflows and actually got help from actual developers to make this, who all agreed with me this is definitely on their level. Calling this "typical quality from paid modders" feels like an insult considering that more than a year of work went into this, and it seems the only critics I get are made up to be much worse than they really are. Just my 2 cents.
