She said she had heard this song while driving home from her DJ slot the previous night. Chuck would have been proud of how beautiful she sounded that night, I know we were!

Waylon loved him, Merle tried so hard to steal him from Waylon. And he was a good friend to me.He was an original piece of that 'West Coast Sound'.

But it was later revealed that this song probably originated in KY from the pen of Paul Gilley. So it was written, and Moon and Seals put the music to it.
