Soo much material to explore. Sarah, you have a lot of respect regarding your journey to faith; Calvinism; Churches….that sounds interesting. Would love to delve into these subjects 😊
Kevin Rider - I started with KJV because it was the one I had when I started reading. Remember having to go slowly through at first but developed a love of the language. It appealed to me then, but was given a NIV Ryrie study bible for Christmas . Missed the KJV at first because with it had experienced the love of growing in an understanding of God's Word for the first time. Later found about 'thought for thought' and 'word for word' translations and ended up going to ESV so could feel better about making a proper interpretation instead of being stuck in someone else's. Although sometimes like the feel of the way a 'thought for thought' might word it better as long as I'm in agreement with it's interpretation.
I have two favourite versions: The ESV which is a study Bible. The other favourite which I've read twice is the Evidence Study Bible NKJV. Could not get along with KJV the first one I read. You've inspired me to take the ESV away with me as it's smaller. I've been lugging the other alone around everywhere!
Thank you I was just thinking about ordering that study bible 🙏🏻 I would love to know your thoughts on picking a good solid church, maybe as a video for your channel. I did email you earlier but it bounced back. Thank you so much for taking the time to create this content, I appreciate what you put into these videos they are so helpful. ❤
Just checked and realised it written incorrectly in my bio, must have been like that for a while. Thanks for letting me know ♥️ let me know how you find the bible if you get it

Hey, thanks for the comment. It’s still a study I go back to, but it’s not a top priority of mine and still do not know where I land. However, one place I have arrived at is if Calvinism is true or not, God is good. Maybe in a few years I may have more clarity on the truth of it all in the scriptures ♥️
@@thenewagetojesusdiaries5830 Of course "if Calvinism is true or not" God is still good. But he is not "maximally good" under Calvinism, by definition. I know where the Holy Spirit lands. :) Hopefully you will see the great heart of God and not be tricked by the false piety of Calvinism.

Are you referring to the women’s bible? Of course, women have different roles to men so I think women’s study Bibles can really focus on that in scripture :)
It’s fine to discuss which Bible suits you because, at the end of the day it’s about how best to make the Word of God accessible for everyone and we’re all different.

I’ve got the woman’s study Bible - it’s the first one I’ve bought. I really like it because it’s easy to read - I don’t get on with small type either.

You're a precious believer God bless you.
Calvinism bad tho! Ask the Spirit, limiting God's love is not at all pleasing to him.

focus on gender ? ?

Aren't we supposed to put those world centered distinctions aside?
