I think I’ve watched this video over 100 times preparing for my audition, you should record a video of all of the warm ups for the 24 season and post it because of all the adds I’ve watched for you. I’ve given you at least 10 cents by now.
I used to practice in high school with the 2017 Lowndes High School Cavaliers snare line and learned a lot. I like to like to listen to warm up videos and roll the whole time but this was amazing, I had to put my stick ls down and just watch….
I’ve noticed something…… is it just me, or do all the lines this year look young? Like….really young? I’m loving this new technique and approach! Tuning is great and hands are looking good! Can’t wait to see what happens with this line.
What always confused me as a former drumliner is why the snares had to use traditional grip and the tenors used matched. More muscles are used in matched grip and allow more precision, so why are corps still using traditional grip?
That’s a good question my friend. Haha. It’s really just something that’s been around, even though the matched grip is superior. Doesn’t change the level they’re able to achieve though!

Looks better
Partially tradition, partially looks cooler, partially makes some things mechanically more easier with how snare book is often written.
It's incredibly weird that this isn't BK..
Carolina Broken City
The snare drummer in the thumbnail looks like Zach Wilson
