I love the pastel background!!...I'm trying so hard to learn the backgrounds using pencils but I'm afraid of ruining my books and then losing interest with it so I will definitely take a page from you and use them. Is there a brand you prefer??

This is just beautiful Julie. I love the color glow around the gems. Could you please share the sharpener that you use with your Prismacolor pencils ? I have tried quite a few and none have been effective. This includes, ironically, the Prismacolor pencil sharpener. And this was the worst of them all. At the cost of these pencils it is very frustrating to lose part of a pencil because of a bad sharpener. It seems like I might remember you mentioning the brand Dahle. Thanks in advance
Thank you so much Julie. I found that Amazon carries it as an add-on item which is perfect since I am already ordering colored pencil cases for my Prismacolor, Marco Raffine and Derwent collections. My husband is undergoing a risky treatment in India next month and I am scared stiff. Watching your videos and coloring along is providing me some badly needed peace of mind. I will be going along as his primary support person. I have found a great quality lap desk (Sofia+Sam brand) on Amazon with a built in lamp which I will be able to color on as well as use with my laptop. Coloring is so important to me on this trip that I want to make sure that I am not dependent on the hospital room for a suitable table and lamp.
Can you tell me what brand of pastels you are using. This coloring is sublime. I want to attempt it, I know it will never be as beautiful as yours but your teachings so inspire me to do better. Thanks so much for sharing.
I bought the Prisma Sharpener too, trial waste of money! I buy the KUM brand but it only stays really sharp for a couple of months. I want a really good Sharpener! Any suggestions?
