The band was "Remote" meaning the band was in a different room / area, and the audience wouldn't have seen us (in this case we were backstage in a converted storeroom.)
The vocal audio you hear is a monitor mix given to the band through speakers placed in the room so as the band can hear what's happening on stage. (It is not the front house mix that the audience hears which is better quality)
There is also a TV monitor in the room so we can see via video link what's happening out on stage.
