What a cast. I never hear anybody mentioning Cerquetti and she was superb. Pirazzini is also very good. There is nothing more to say about Corelli, he rules. I loved him since I was 15 years old, and have seen him at la Scala, and still love him, a grandmother of four. Thank you for this superb performance.

I spoke well Italian when I was in my 20es since I spent 10 months in Italy (Bari) with my studies. But if one doesn’t practice a language, one forgets it. Very sad.

We're lucky that Callas pulled out because her best Norma days were beyond her in 1958 and this was an excellent opportunity to capture Cerquetti's fascinating Norma in good sound. Corelli is electrifying in one of his best roles, Pirazzini an involved Adalgisa. Neri has some intonation issues in his solos and he's not the most elegant singer but his dark voice always inpresses.
