I've always loved how Nintendo creates really colourful, flashy visuals in their games, makes it so much more appealing to look at.

Even in the visuals department, I've liked how they focused on making it the most visually pleasing instead of modern and realistic. True, there were games like Twilight Princess (which still looks good), but they've always focused on entertainment more than awe in gameplay, sound, and visuals (although there has been quite a bit of awe in all of them throughout the years)
That was sick. ARMS actually looks fun af and FREE DLC. You can just tell how much time and love Nintendo has put into ARMS.

@S C because after a year nintendo did nothing to give arms attention and the game suffered until just now, nearly three years later, through the smash announcement. And while the community will try their hardest to keep the game going strong, if nintendo goes through all this and leave it be after they come out in smash, itll surely fall back into obscurity. It's already difficult to find party matches now that the trial has ended... Hopefully whenever ARMS 2 comes around itll have more support. ARMS probably had such a hard time after the updates with it being a new IP, and a new fighting game IP at that.

It feels weird watching this again now that ARMS is finished with new content. I love fighting games, and I’ll never forget how excited I got when they first revealed this new IP during the Switch Presentation back in Jan 2017. Sadly, ARMS became a little underrated to most people due to a lack of a story mode, but in my opinion, I don’t really think ARMS needed it: at least not right now; it’s the first game in the series afterall. It’s likely they’ll make an ARMS 2 that focuses on the lore (not to mention Dark Horse is publishing a visual novel for the game next fall!). ARMS will always have a special place in my heart, and it’s become one of my favorite Nintendo IPs. It’s one of the switch’s best selling games too as of right now! I’m willing to bet that Spring Man and Dr. Coyle will be in the next smash game (if that ever happens), and I have no doubt that we’ll eventually see ARMS 2 in the future. Thanks for everything, Mr. Yabuki!

It would be cool if Spring Man is the first dlc character added in smash ultimate. They could do it in celebration of ARMS second birthday next year in June. At the same time, I'm not sure if the game has been around long enough, especially as there are still many nintendo characters who haven't yet joined the roster, like Isaac from Golden Sun.

This Nintendo Direct got me VERY excited :) I kept thinking "arms doesn't look like it'll be for me" but I was mesmerized by everything they showed for it. Looks fantastic.

Arms along with Splatoon really makes we wonder how Nintendo is so damn good at creating fun and unique universes for their games. So damn creative!

I've always said that one of the things that makes me keep to a game for a while is its side-modes. Modes to go to when you're a little bored of the main event. Kirby games are normally pretty great for this, and ARMS definitely seems to have that down!
Seriously, one of the only reasons I boot up Kirby Mass Attack still now is to play that pinball minigame. It's super good!

Still waiting on that Smash 4 port. If they want the Switch to be taken seriously out the gate they're going to have to port it soon, or at least announce a port. I'm betting on an announcement around E3

It’s a sad day for us ARMS fans but let me say this. With every dark night comes a bright morning to a new day. We will see ARMS again. Just like how we saw ARMS get is Smash don’t sweat it. This isn’t the last time we see this world and these fighters. We may see a sequel. much like the ARMS world there are always mysteries on what will happen next.

Wow. Two games I initially couldn't care less about - the more I see, the more I'm interested. Everything Nintendo is doing from the Switch and Mobile is just hooking me left and right. I passed on Splatoon but that campaign-ish mode looks awesome (saw a lot of Zelda Shrine-like puzzles) and Arms just keeps looking more and more fun. Considering I originally thought it was a more in-depth Wii Boxing, now it looks like a more accessible Overwatch.

The first Splatoon have a very good single player campaign too. The only thing keeps me from it was WiiU, but I had so much fun playing it at my friends place.
remakeyourself i'm so torn, they both look good but if i were to get splatoon id have to get the pro controller too (can't play with that trash grip). All 3 would cost a lot
remakeyourself but ARMS is more inspired by Segas Virtual-On and the visuals from some old but gold Sega stuff from Dreamcast phase. Splatoon had also this kind of Sega Dreamcast arcad-y vibe, even more. I love ARMS already and want it so badly
What Are Those? Apparently everything is overwatch now if it has non realistic graphics and it has different characters. it's a better wii boxing.
Me too i thought arms wholud be just ok but it looks like it has more love and care for it than i thought at first and way more personallity i downloaded the test punch and im ready to destroy with helix
