How I make multiple ceramic soap dishes when hand building

There's a lovely local small business that hand makes and sells soaps and we work together to make beautiful hand made gift sets of soap and soap dish. For this video I show how I make the same design of soap dish multiple times for these gift sets.
I show how I work with a former/mould and the steps I take to get as many made as fast as possible. When batch making as a hand builder, speed can be tricky as it tends to be a slower process than working on a wheel, but with the former I can manage to make 6 or 7 in a couple of hours start to finish.
Moulds and formers are great tools for consistency and making multiples when hand building.

I am a newbie to hand clay and firing. So thank you for sharing this video. I love these little soap dishes and can't wait to make some of my own. Do you have a video that shows how you glazed and fired them? With that said, I have subscribed to your channel and am going to look at that now. Maybe I will find what I am asking about. :)

Thank you Paula. Yes, your other videos are helpful. I'm excited to start on this new venture. I am waiting to file my LLC next week to purchase a kiln, so that will be a new learning experience for me.
