- Today we are leaving Nairobi, Kenya on our way to Cape Town, South Africa for the first time ever.
This adventure started with two extremely underwhelming flights with Ethiopian Airlines... (Late flights, bad food and broken planes including food trays, seats and fixtures...) That being said, the rest of the trip was simply amazing.

It all started with our nice little hotel in the heart of Cape Town, called Head South Lodge. Friendly staff, nice little rooms and delicious breakfasts for a more than affordable price.

For our first bit of exploring around town, we decided to walk along the beautiful shore line up to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. This place is just stunning and full of life. Ferris wheel, live music everywhere and so many people enjoying the different stores and restaurants. We loved it so much that we went back twice in two days!
Finally, to end the night, we ate at The Butcher Shop & Grill for a little date night. A very nice and well established steak house, just across the street from the water. And let me tell you, it was delicious.

So glad you enjoyed yourselves but remember SA is much more than CT I have travelled all over SA and have wonderful memories of the great kindness shown to me by people . Think about the Wild Coast ,Drakensberg and the Karoo Prince Albert is a great little town. I would also recommend Namibia Walvis Bay is stunningly beautiful and has the highest sand dune in the world and of coarse Botswana is fantastic too.Love watching your videos keep up the good work.
I'm from 🇰🇪 Kenya and have traveled extensively. I would say Cape Town is the most beautiful city in Africa and one of the most beautiful in the world. My opinion....South Africa 🇿🇦 is a beautiful country, very developed and advanced.. True crime is high but in isolated places, not everywhere. Just be careful. I would say much safer than many famous cities out there....ENJOY 😉

South African currency is called Rand. The Rand used to be the currency of Namibia as well until 1993. And SA country code is abbreviated as ZA. Cape Town ranks as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, last I checked it was in the top 6. But for me, it has less of an African vibe and looks more European. I prefer Jo'burg to Cape Town.

The Metro Area where yall at is safe because a high number of tourists vist the metro area.The reason for Cape's crime being so high is due to the violence on the Cape Flats a township where gangs are at war.The Mayor is constantly at work for our foreign counterparts inorder to ensure that Cape Town Attracts More Tourists and Remains a Great Destination

I think that Kenya Airways offers a better service to Cape Town. Loved Cape Town and Western Cape. Stunning city and scenery. Head South Lodge was a good find.

Beautiful images which camera did u used 4k canon?
My main camera is a Sony a7siii but everything in that video that was shot outside in Cape Town was with a Canon M50. Everything in 1080p (my computer is not powerful enough to manage all 4k footage sadly... I do export in 4k tho to keep as much quality as possible as TH-cam is know to compress the size of all videos quite a bit.)

Here's the thing we so honest about or crime rate and I think many major cities in the USA actually alter the stats. When u walk around Cape Town u don't feel unsafe, yet u see videos from Los Angeles and other cities u see junkies looking like the dawn of the dead. Yet you don't see lots of streer junkies on our streets yet we deemed unsafe.. UNREAL
I do agree with that. We never felt unsafe and I truly think that most more popular and touristy areas of Cape Town a safe. 👍🏼

We did! We now have the Sony A7Siii. But this video was a mix of both that one and our old Canon M50.

I can't add all the conversion. Thats why I always put the USD as most people know the conversion from USD to their currency. For KSH just add a zero from the USD and you'll get the price. :)
I though Kenya Airways has flights to SA, or it was just your personal preference to use Ethiopian Airlines?

I’m South African. The vast majority of places accept credit cards. I have one and use it everywhere. But I would say to keep a small amount of South African Rand cash for those odd moments like maybe tipping and such.
Cards are accepter pretty much everywhere. I paid with my Master Card for everything. For cash the local currency is ideal.

There is but we saved a lot by doing this.

I am from Cape Town and yes, there is crime, but it is really not as bad as what people make it out to be, as long as you are not going into certain areas . I have been all over the world and can honestly say that Cape Town is breathtakingly beautiful, but you need more than 3 days so that you can also visit the stunning wine farms around Stellenbosch and Paarl, only about 35kms away. Too many places to visit and things to do, you need two weeks

But is there any place in the world where you’d travel to and not secure your possessions, honestly you kind of painted a bad picture about capetown….It is also wrong of you to go on and say that you dont know of the currency used in South Africa but you did your due diligence on the topic of CRIME…Capetown is a beautiful place to be in and live in.
Cape is a wonderful p'ace but it would be very irresponsible of me to pretend that its totally safe since it one one of the highest crime rate in the world.

First of all, cape town and SA are just amazing and we said that many times. That being said, it would be irresponsable to ignore the fact that South Africa and Cape town have some of the highest crime rates of the entier world. We are at no point trying to discourage people from visiting. We only want people to be smart travellers, that is all.

That's a ridiculous statement to make. Cape Town has beaten Los Angeles to claim the number one spot and holds the badass title of being the only African city that has been ranked number one twice for the most beautiful cities in the world.
It has consistently made it to the top ten list six freakin' times in a row, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Paris, New York, London, Barcelona, Rome, and others.
Believe it or not, Cape Town is on par with certain cities in the US and even surpasses others, making it comparable to them. Dave is spot on!
