  • Great swing arm for hitch mount carriers and bike racks. Easily access your rear doors or trunk without removing anything from the carrier! This will greatly improve your travel experiences!

Awesome, just got one for my van, I have a rack like yours, but I mounted a diamond plated tool box into it with one up bike racks on the lid, now I can use the back doors. Thanks for the video

Oh wow that sounds like a rad setup - fitting a ton of extra storage/transport space on the hitch. Definitely a game changer to be able to get the doors open without unloading everything!! Thanks so much for watching!!

Do you think it would cause any issues running it upside down, so that it swings the other way?

I think it would open fine. But the biggest issue would be clearance whenever you went over a bump or up an incline of any kind. The swing arm would be sticking like 6 or whatever inches BELOW the bottom of the hitch. If that makes sense...

@@kampinglogik thanks for responding, but yeah, that’s not a problem. I have 35” tires and a 2 inch lift. It only drops it 2 to 3 inches so about where a regular hitch attachment would be on an off-the-lot Wrangler. What I am more worried about is if flipping it changes any of the strength dynamics.

Well, given that I am not an engineer... The swinging mechanism seems to be all equal shapes/angles, aside from the main latch itself (which would be upside down). I'm actually home with my van and the swing arm, so I will go throw it in the receiver and see what happens

I tried it on my van and it opened and latched without any issue though I didnt have a chance to put any load on it.

looks like $379 on etrailer.com and several "used like new" on Amazon warehouse deals for $341, no new option on Amazon. I actually got mine on a warehouse deal how from Amazon as well.
