wow i remember playing this game the final boss was a pain in the ass it was like 2 hits and you are dead
I defeated him multiple times, when you defeat him you always get something op and then you play the story over again and almost oneshot him

This boss is probably the hardest one i have ever faced in a game. Unlike the other Ratchet-bosses, Otto got a shield. Plus he packs a huuuuge punch and can cause massive damage. You really need almost ALL of the weapons and the best armor, otherwise you're toasted.
Really ? Cause it's not really difficult for me, the only thing that can be a bother is when you run out of ammo, but you can just dodge his attacks and smash the ammo crates. So yeah its pretty easy

yeeeh i gave up, thats why i came here hehe..apparently you can use the laser thing but levelling it up takes foreevverrr i should have died more earlier on..

I beat Otto once but someone reset my game to new and I am there again fighting him. If anyone is a lousy fighter like me, you will run out of amo and the first time I went back and got more "money" to buy new amo and came back. come to find out, if you run out just keep going through the door and you have full amo each time. I was kind of uspset at that after doing most of the game all over to collect enough "money" to buy new amo duh!! I wish I had the ryno but can't afford it.

Dude... you REALLY need better stuff. V. 3 weapons and crystallix armor ain't gonna cut it. I know, I was addicted to this game. I had 13 replays, fully upgraded weapons, hyperborean and chameleon armor, the RYNOCERATOR (the RYNO unlocked on second replay [costs 9999000 bolts] upgraded) and EVERYTHING else.

Same. But still, the RYNOCERATOR was good. The point of the game is to have fun and max out your stuff, so why not upgrade the RYNO? It was pretty damn fun, anyway.

Ikr. I just found my PSP again and I just bought the RYNO. It's not that hard to get, just get the teleporter on Metalis, go thru, get the crates, teleport back, save game, load game, and repeat. Also get the x12 for bolts.

But its much more fun maxing out your stuff. If you only have the armor I had only halfway through the game, it would be a better playing experience to take some time to get the optional extras. Believe me, I have the game, I know.

I am only disappointed that the "Battle Ratchet" line of "toy" Ratchet clones didn't include the giant-armed one with the giant wrench: that would've made this even more challenging.

Geez... I just spend one hour trying to beat him... It took less than 5 minutes... I think I'm starting to feel a little bit frustrated here...!
This boss was impossible to beat w/o the Static Barrier. I've spent more than an hour trying to dodge his later attacks - even if you managed to dodge some of them, eventually he would hit you and take like 3/4 of your life by just one hit. It was unfair AF!! The boss was clearly designed to fight with the Barrier, so the game could have flashed some kind of an indicator that suggested buying it after you've been dying for an hour straight. The whole time I was like, damn, it MUST be doable with my current arsenal. Cool game but GODDAMN, did it get me pissed.

I have a easier way only a certain amount of rachet bots can spawn so just run around and save ammo
I got the deadeye mine with mods(fully upgraded sniper mine)in less than a day along with the lacerator and acid bomb detonator
This game used to be hard. Then you upgrade the RYNO and it's easy.

Out of all the bosses in this game, the final segment of Emperor Otto Destruct was the easiest and fastest to beat in the whole game for me, and i was playing it in hardcore mode, all you need is the static barier and a Optical Maser Array (Fully Upgraded Laser Tracer) and u will defeat in less that 30 seconds.
