I am getting sick of all of the pretentious pianists out there coming to these sorts of videos and badmouthing these videos, saying "Where's the prodigy?" and all that bullshit. Somebody with talent should be able to acknowledge talent. Yes, a lot of it is discipline and practice, but take a minute to think about how quickly the rate of piano playing is dropping. It's GOOD to see young people out there so passionate about an instrument, especially one that is dying!
The literal meaning of the word prodigy is "a person, especially a young one, endowed with exceptional qualities or abilities". What I see is exceptional. Also Gabriel, since my comment was my own and not a reply to somebody else, it's not off topic. It simply has a couple.
Have you not read my response to the last person who said the same thing that you did? When you look at the majority vs minority in terms of who can and can't play what this young man can, he IS quite exceptional. But I guess everybody views this their own way, I'll still defend my opinion.
If he keeps at it, he just might take over where Evgeny Khmara and Henri Herbert leave off - two of the TOP concert pianists in the world! He'll have some competition from Cole Lam who is 12 years old and already on his way to making music his profession.

The thing is, he might have gone out off tempo at some times but he still has the best thing that a musician can have which is being able to transmit real emotions and touch people. Many people can play, but not everyone can touch people. This kid is marvelous!

something funky is going on here because at 2 places higher notes (the piano keys located on his R side) are being played- yet, both his hands were still on the LOWER notes, check it out at 2:20 and 2:37. At 2:20 his hands moved up a little but not enough for the very high notes...Was it overlapped later...or, could it have been a ghost?
This reminds me of /Improvision at the train station/ it's the one with the guy in a messy shirt and a guy who joins in with a white shirt with a backpack accept with the second person joining in on the other vid.(MUST WATCH) You'll watch it over and over and over again.
For the people saying he's just "pounding to make it seem like he's good" thats not the case, the pounding either comes from passion, trying to get a distinct sound (in some circumstances) or adrenaline, i know this because i have pounded while playing the piano due to those things.
He's overall talented. And hard working. This video is to make people believe, everyone can make a way for his talent, and must not to ignore that, because its a gift from God, and gifts had to be apreciated and talents nurished.
