thank you Jodi for sharing your story, you are an amazing human being. I had my surgery to remove my acoustic neuroma May 2018. At the time it was the worst thing that happened to me, the recovery was harder and more frustrating than i could ever imagine but now i have to say , i have learnt so much about myself, my strength, my patience, my determination, i set myself challenges and still do to this day, i also studied natural facelift massage and completed this course 2 years ago so i can help relieve my own facial weakness. I also learnt so much about other people, the kindness was over whelming and i honestly have grown so much as a person i wouldn't change my experience if i had the choice. Keep inspiring others Jodi x
Wow, thanks for sharing a little of your story, Helen. You sound like an incredible person. So glad you found me. Stay tuned for more hope and inspiration!!! God bless you! ;) Jodi
My husband had a brain tumor in 1988 and NOW it's back in 2024. Mayo Clinic is his answer. Scheduling his surgery soon. Pray hard for my husband. Thanks
I love how you explored and dealt with your process, inside and outside. My dad died from a glioblastoma. He had surgery, but it didn’t help. He died soon after. You definitely are a miracle, and by sharing, are helping many others. 💯♥️
I'm so sorry to hear about your father. My brother just passed away unexpectedly last month, and the emotions are so raw and difficult. I hope you've found peace in God through your grief. Thanks for your kind words, I'm truly honored. Glad you found me. ;) I have new videos going up soon, I hope you'll enjoy them! God bless. Jodi
WOW.... what an amazing powerful story. So many messages...such depth. Jody is a phenomenal story teller. I hung on her every word. GOD put her video out there in youtube world to give an example of strength and courage and to teach us the power of putting our trust in HIM our allmighty savior. Thank you Jody...with all my heart. Thank you God for keeping Jody here on earth to share her incredible journey.😇
GOD WILL HELP YOU!! His help is so evident in our lives, even if it doesn't come in the form of healing or fixing everything. I came to realize that every person who came into my life was a gift from God, my pack of angels. The more you look for God's help, the more you will see it. Stay strong!
This came up in my recommended videos randomly and wow, What a powerful story. Jodi is an amazing. Strong, beautiful woman. Hope that she is doing well and living her best life.
Thank you, Jayden! Life is good, even when its hard. I still have many issues, but I'm so grateful to be here and try to give people hope, courage, and resilience! And YES, I am living my best life. I hope you are, too!! Many thanks for the comment. Glad you found me. Stay tuned for more videos! God bless. Jodi
My Father died at 52 of a brain tumour, he died with in 4 months of being diagnosed, I was 17 my brother was 10, I still remember all the emotions I felt and I'm 61 now, it saddens me a lot of people, young people are dying of this.
@@JodiOrgillBrown Thankyou was a tough time. I still think to many people are dying of brain tumours especially young people, I live in England and treatments have not advanced that much in 40 years. Glad you are still here and fighting this devastating illness.
I am sorry for your loss. My family got mad at me. Yelled at me because of stress. I didn't wake up in the morning and choose to have health issues. . But you know, I lost my mother. So I empathize. God Bless ❤
Wow Jodi! What a soul searching journey you went through. You are such a beautiful, strong person and it's a miracle you survived all that. Your explanation of "acceptance' was right on! I'll tell you my story of acceptance. I had to retire at the age of 62 because my hip went out 2 years prior and I could no longer do my job. About a month before I retired I noticed I was having abnormal stools and had less of an appetite. Symptoms were minor so I ignored it. When I retired I no longer had my health insurance. After I retired things got worse. Over the next 3 years I went from weighing 140 to 107. I had no appetite, couldn't eat much and rarely passed a stool and it hurt. I knew something was very wrong but I was not in a financial position to do anything about it. I thought I was going to shrivel down to nothing and die. I cried and cried and was very upset for a while but then I finally accepted it and a huge peace came over me. I quit stressing over it and just said "It's God's will, Let Go, Let God." I refused to let it consume me anymore and I put it in God's hands and I am going to be happy with the time I have left. When I turned 65 I got Medicare! I thought, ok, maybe I won't die after all. First thing I did was go to a gastrologist and had my first colonoscopy. He removed 8 polyps that were blocking my colon and I slowly put my weight back on over time. The funny thing about reaching "acceptance" is once you experience that, you no longer have a fear of dying. At least I don't. Every day I wake up is a blessing. A gift! I appreciate life much more now and have more compassion for others. Acceptance changes the way you think, forever!
Thank you, Mary! I agree with you, once you let go and let God, it is much easier to accept anything that is to come. And, even dying no longer seems scary. Life is good, even when its hard. I still have many issues, but I'm so grateful to be here and try to give people hope, courage, and resilience! Many thanks for the comment. Glad you found me. Stay tuned for more videos! God bless. I have two. nieces with brain tumors. One, after going through chemotherapies and all kind of treatments, adopted a girl who is in her 20's, the other one was diagnosed more than 15 years ago and is still in good shape. So, there is hope. I knew a woman who was sent home to die, and even when she had some sequels, many years after, she was taking her daughter to school every day.
YES, there is HOPE!!! Treatments are difficult, but survival is possible. Thank you, thank you! So glad you found me here. I've got new videos going up soon. I hope you'll enjoy them! God Bless. Jodi
Thank you Ms Jodi for sharing to us your beautiful story. It gives us hope.. those who is going through the same journey. My sister Faye Ponce de Leon, 46 years old, living in Malaysia, is scheduled for a brain tumor surgery on May 18, 2023. The whole family is praying and supporting her in her journey to healing and recovery. Your story gave us a very clear understanding of the what goes in the innermost thoughts and feelings of both the patient and the family members. Thank you and God bless you.. More Power !
Thank you for this beautiful comment! I'm honored by your words. I am so glad my story is helping others move forward, have faith, and live their best lives. Jodi Oh, and I have new videos coming out in the next few days, I hope you'll check them out and let me know what you think.
I had a TBI from (allegedly) falling off a ladder onto a concrete patio in my backyard. I said "allegedly", jokingly, because I don't remember anything from the accident or the first 2 weeks in Hospital #1. Was in an induced coma for a few days, couldn't breath on my own initially, w/ "raccoon eyes" when I woke up, and had to eat pureed food! You reminded me of that when you indicated your facial paralysis made it hard to keep food in your mouth. - Which also reminded me of trying to spoon feed my son as a baby, and he'd spit it out as fast as I could try to put it back in! Ha. Then I went to Madonna Rehab. Hospital in NE for the next 4 weeks to recover - learn to walk, balance, and had to do so many mental tasks, Math and puzzles to show them I was capable of taking care of myself (living alone). Of course, I received a lot of help from my family, but none of them live in my state, and everyone has to go back to their own homes and lives eventually. I have made a miraculous recovery though - from the 1st week at Madonna I was trying to convince them that I was FINE! With TBI patients you have to prove that you're well enough to be "Independent" - 1st in your bed, and the sensors should be removed, then independent in your room, and don't have to be babysat, then independent in the hospital, and you can go to get hot coffee safely, w/out help. At least 1 member of my family came every single day, and I was released to go home on my Bday! The only remaining issues are a bit of pain (I also have fibromyalgia), and some slight double vision - correctable w/ prism glasses. So, I'm very fortunate! Had bleeding on the brain, but it went down and didn't have to have brain surgery. Had skull fractures, but they were closed and they healed on their own, w/ no scars. Only left w/ a small scar on my chest where they had to put a tube in at the E.R. Had fractured ribs, but they too were closed and healed up good. Going to Neurologist #2 in 1 month, and expected to be able to drive again, since it will have been 6 months since the seizure at the E.R., and my sight is better than ever w/ the glasses! But I'm not allowed to get on a ladder again. lol
Well, maybe staying away from ladders is ok. ;) I'm glad to hear that you have improved and are functioning well on your own. Congrats on your progress. Warrior on, my friend!
In hindsight,so obvious just looking at the facial movements, but, doctors don’t have a retrospectoscope ,all we can do is watch and learn, and be grateful for people like Jodi for sharing her experience so that we CAN learn.
Thank you, great comment. It is easy to say now that docs should have caught the signs earlier, but you are right, that is all in hindsight. At the time, I KNOW my doc was doing what he thought was right, even though it took a long time to diagnose the brain tumor. I'm so grateful that my videos are helpful. So glad you found me here -- stay tuned for more hope, inspiration, and encouragement. God bless! Jodi

Jodi, you are a very strong lady and tell your story so well. Bless you. My daughter has fairly recently had what she believes is a small amount of spinal fluid leakage through her nose and often has 'wet' ears. She does not have a tumor/mass but was diagnosed with Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) following an eye checkup at the start of 2023 and ended up in hospital for quite some time and was put on medication and also subsequently had a shunt put into a vein in the back of her head. She has had a MRI recently but not with dye following the leakage. Nothing was found but she continues to suffer very bad headaches even though she is told the IIH is under control. I was wondering how the location of your leakage hole was found as I do not know if an MRI without dye present could possibly pick one up.
@anthearees6129 Thank you so much for your kind words and compliments on how I tell my story. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's experiences. To answer your question, I don't know how they found the spinal fluid leak, but I can tell you they didn't find it on the first surgery, it took multiple procedures for them to find and seal the leak. They also tried a lumbar drain, in hopes the leak would seal itself. A full 4 weeks of my hospitalization was because of the spinal fluid leak, and the ensuing pneumocephalus (air on the brain, which seeped in from the hole where the spinal fluid was leaking out). I wish I had better answers, but the reality is, they couldn't find and fix it until they surgically got back in my brain and found it. Keep asking the doctors and looking for answers! Sooo glad you found me here! Stay tuned for more hope, inspiration, and courage for navigating the challenges of life. God bless! Please keep me posted! Jodi

We cannot understand Gods ways at times.. we must go through a “crushing” a time of intense purifying for our Father to begin a new work in us.. we must trust His way of doing this because we cannot truly understand it! But He knows..He lives us beyond what we can ever comprehend.. our lives are not about OUR happiness.. it’s about glorifying the one and pleading the One who created us and died for us ❤️ I pray strength and continued faith for you in this “rest of your mortal life” journey! 💕🥰
@shaun_belligero, to say someone is simple minded because they don't agree with you is nothing more than, well, simple-minded. We all have the choice to be part of the problem of the division facing the world today, or part of the problem. As for me, I earned a master's degree and multiple certifications, but beyond education, I know what I experienced and I know there is a God. But I respect your right to believe as you will. Please respect my beliefs, and those of @aline and others. That is "simple" common courtesy.
@@JodiOrgillBrown "but beyond education, I know what I experienced and I know there is a God." That education did not do you too well in that case. To think there is a man that just clicked his fingers and boom we are all here is extremely simple minded. It was science that saves you. Nothing more.

Oh Jodi, I am so sorry about what you have been through in your young life, and with 4 Children. God Bless you Honey. It sounds like you have a beautiful personal relationship with Jesus as you stated you are a Christian. I am curious because you live in Utah, may I ask if you are Mormon?
Thank you, Linda! I am so grateful for life, and I'm living it the best I can. My MOST important relationship is the one with my Savior, Jesus Christ. And, Yes, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ;)
Hi again Jodi, I have been thinking about you quite a bit. I care about you. I am a Born Again Christian. I met Christ after my husband began a relationship with Jesus. Would you consider discussions with me on why there are differences between the Jesus of the Bible and the Jesus of Latter Day Saints? Respectfully, Linda
Hi, Linda! Thanks for the note. I am a whole-heartedly a Christian, like you! I absolutely worship the Jesus from the Bible, my studies this morning were from Mark and Luke, and I love to learn and grow from my Savior's example. God bless you!
I am trying to understand, if the Bible says it is by Grace we are saved through Faith and not by works and LDS says we are saved after all we can do. It doesn’t sound the same to me. Also, respectfully I don’t know where it says in the Bible that when we die we become a god and have our own planet?
I am a Christian, through and through. Please accept and honor that. We are saved after all "we can do" in this case refers to "we" as in us and Christ -- we need to accept Him and honor His commandments, and HE does the saving! God bless.

@@carissamartine35ornelas43 Did you have that tooth pulled? Having a tooth pulled was what gave me TMJ. Even though I was numbed up and didn't feel it, the doctor was WAY too aggressive when he pulled it. He yanked my jaw out of place and now I have to live with it. There are a few different things that cause vertigo though. You may have something else. I had vertigo when my ear only was hurting. The vertigo went away but now my ear and jaw hurts. Many, many thanks, and God bless you, as well! Life is so good, I am grateful for every day (though I have to remind myself of that on the tough days). I hope you are doing well -- and I hope you'll stay tuned for more courage, hope, and inspiration!

@leftalone, thank you, thank you for the kind comment. I'm glad you found my story compelling. Next week I'm filming several videos giving updates on brain tumor issues as they are now. I hope you'll stick around for more inspiration, hope, and courage! Jodi
thank you Jodi for sharing your story, you are an amazing human being.

My Father died at 52 of a brain tumour, he died with in 4 months of being diagnosed, I was 17 my brother was 10, I still remember all the emotions I felt and I'm 61 now, it saddens me a lot of people, young people are dying of this.

God bless. Jodi

I have two. nieces with brain tumors.

Oh, and I have new videos coming out in the next few days, I hope you'll check them out and let me know what you think.
Jodi

How simple-minded must you be to think there's a god.
@@JodiOrgillBrown "but beyond education, I know what I experienced and I know there is a God."
That education did not do you too well in that case. To think there is a man that just clicked his fingers and boom we are all here is extremely simple minded.
It was science that saves you. Nothing more.
We will not convince each other, so I think we need to agree to kindly disagree.

God bless.
Hi
What was your diagnosis?
Yes, can we know what the diagnosis was? Was it a glioblastoma?
Probably brain stem glioma.
Great question -- final pathology: Indeterminate. Tumor did not match anything on record.
@@dalhousieDream Great question -- final pathology: Indeterminate. Tumor did not match anything on record. Most of the mass was not made up of brain cells/tissue.
@Moss chino Boss I care! I'm glad she asked, so I can answer and help, as possible. God bless, Moss!
So sorry May the good Lord bless you amen 🙏

We list our 31 year old son to this
I'm so sorry, @bernie61dee . My heart and prayers are with you!
What is her diagnosis?
Thanks for asking. My diagnosis is an unidentifiable type of brain tumor going from the end of my ear canal and wrapping around me brain stem. Most of the tumor was removed, but there is still a 5x7mm mass that can't be removed. So glad you found me here. I hope you stay tuned for more encouragement, hope, and inspiration. God bless. Jodi
Brave soul lord love her

Thank you!! I am honored by your words. And thanks for the compliment -- I love the striped dress, too! ;)
How are you feeling now Jodi?
Hoji, thanks for inquiring. I am still battling -- new issues continue to arise, but I am still fighting, and smiling, every day. How are you doing? I'd love to learn more. God bless!
@@JodiOrgillBrown I'm sorry you're still dealing with issues.
I hope you find healing and ease at some point.
Turns out my tumor is in a spot that presents surgical challenges that are a bit too risky.
I just finished 5 rounds od Radiostatic Surgery at UCLA to slow the growth. I feel enormously grateful for the help I'm receiving and we beleive treatment went very well. Thank you for asking.
I have been putting prayer up for you dear woman.
@hoji, God bless you, my fellow warrior! I still have some of the tumor wrapped around my brainstem because it is too risky to operate. You have a beautiful soul and I'm glad you are practicing gratitude in your difficult journey. Let's stay in touch. Please keep me posted on your progress. I'm glad you found me here!! Go warriors!
In my left ear I have dizzy vision and headaches and I get vertigo ,when I touch my head it hurts
Do you have ear pain on one side? I have ear pain in my right ear and vertigo for over a year. I thought ear wax, ear infection, I tried everything. The pain in my right ear recently has now included my right jaw. Come to find out I have TMJ - Temporomandibular Joint. My jaw is dislocated. Just thought I would tell you as it took me a long time to figure it out. There is no cure for what I have but there are exercises for it on TH-cam that help a lot. Don't know if this is what you have but you can check it out.
@@maryhirsch8044 it all started with a tooth and my whole left side has gotten worse blurry vision headaches dizziness n high blood pressure at 28
@@maryhirsch8044 thank you for the information and trying to help me 😊🙏
@@carissamartine35ornelas43 Did you have that tooth pulled? Having a tooth pulled was what gave me TMJ. Even though I was numbed up and didn't feel it, the doctor was WAY too aggressive when he pulled it. He yanked my jaw out of place and now I have to live with it. There are a few different things that cause vertigo though. You may have something else. I had vertigo when my ear only was hurting. The vertigo went away but now my ear and jaw hurts. I've read that a chiropractor or a dentist might be able to fix it but I can't pay for that right now.
@@carissamartine35ornelas43 Oh, you're welcome. I was hoping to help as it sounded like you have the same thing I have that took me 2 years to figure out. Google vertigo and read about all the different kinds and see which one has the symptoms you have. That's how I found TMJ but I had ear pain with vertigo.
Sorry jodi
God bless you.
Many, many thanks, and God bless you, as well! Life is so good, I am grateful for every day (though I have to remind myself of that on the tough days). I hope you are doing well -- and I hope you'll stay tuned for more courage, hope, and inspiration!
How are you today?
Thanks for the note. My health is still up and down. I just had urgent surgery 4 weeks ago and I'm still struggling. The on-going side effects continue. I appreciate you checking on me!
So glad you found me here -- stay tuned for more hope and inspiration for navigating the challenges of life. God bless. Jodi
My daddy did too
So sorry to hear that. All my best to you! Stay tuned for more hope, inspiration, and courage. God bless.
My right eye feels like its getting smaller
Go to the doctor Carissa ..
