Hunted by Darcy Coates is SO good!! I also definitely recommend The Carrow Haunt by her that was a recent 5 star read for me it’s SO good! The perfect haunted house book!!

Darcy Coates is one of my favorite authors and it makes me to happy to hear people talking about her book! I highly highly recommend pairing her books with certain situations/ settings. For example: dead of winter - read when there’s snow outside, down below - read on the beach or on a ship, hunted - read after you’ve went hiking or staying in a remote cabin. That way the books are even scarier, so fun!!
heather the more you described dead of winter it really made me think of the show Yellowjackets that i think you might really enjoy!! it is really gore heavy tho but other than that the whole plot is INSANE!!

I almost never comment but i LOVE Hunted by Darcy coates. I listened to the audio and also physically read along and it had me gasping so much and was so eerie. (I also finished the book in a chick fil a and i was STRESSED, i was like pls dont perceive me and my reactions but wtf is going on in this book)

I’d recommend just trying it. I hate scary movies and the few I’ve watched in my life have scarred me bad lol. But in books, horror is one of my favorite genres. It feels very different for me!
