Our McDonald's still uses the 1975 logo and on the bags they use the 1940 one, our kfc uses the 1997 one, our burger king uses the 1969 logo, our dominos out of town uses the 1996 one, the pizza hut out of town uses the 1999 one, our taco bell uses the 1994 one, our subway uses the 2002 one, our Dunkin donuts uses the 1997 one, Man our town is old

Why is it that the trademarks in the stage before the adoption of 3D design look cooler and more sophisticated than the current logo?
Because if house hunting shows have taught me anything, people are obsessed with minimalism. I swear, every time I see a "modern" house on one of those shows, I am like "blegh!"

But none of these changes actually happen to some branches in other countries such as egypt, we just use logos from 2000-2012 and only few restaurants actually change their logo, such ws pizza hut, its logo hasnt changed, and dunkin donuts is just their old orange and pink logo with a cup
And the US there isn't the 2016 logo of fanta
I've absolutely had enough of people saying logos are being oversimplified. It's on a cycle. Logos get simpler and then more complex. It's all trends. Look at burger king as a good example, their logo started complex and got simple around the 60s-70s. Then by the 90s-00s it gets more complex. Now its gone simpler again. The only thing thats changed is the slight imperfections of a simple OR complex logo have been eliminated becuase of computer graphic design taking over the task of hand drawn illustration. And sure, there are exceptions to this rule, but it's not hard to find complex logos today just as there were simple logos in the time of skeuomorphism and complexity in the 2000s.
People feel the need to complain all the time - go complain about the world war about to happen, or the planet being roasted, or the multinational conglomerates controlling the economy, or about the global pandemic we've had to pick up the peices from. But no, let's complain about pictures companies want you to remember so you'll buy their shit!
