Wow, the concept of draining myself (by dwelling on a past situation) despite all my efforts to lift myself up, energize, motivate, and all that. I don't think I clearly understood that it was draining me until you explained it this way. TY Paul! You're the best.
This reading is spot on for me. I have been taking care of my 96 yo mother with dementia with very little support from my family. I have reached a point of exhaustion mentally, emotionally but there is no place to lay this burden down. I need to heal but can't. I keep trying but there is no good outcome for me or for her. I've gotten to the point where I need to stop trying to finding solutions and just accept it but that is very hard for me. Please pray for me

This is exactly what is happening. I carry the burden of an abusive, malevolent narcissistic mother that I have to still live with. I have been trying very much to recreate my life, but just as you say, all of it gets sucked away. Please pray for me to balance and release this weight, this is all I've ever wanted, to live my life and fulfill my destiny in freedom and compassion and creative energy. I am exhausted., I am drained and I am afraid to let go of this load because the intensity of emotion and pain could mess all my efforts up. Unless it won't. I need support. And thank you as ever for verbalising these things.
