Well this series DESIGNER DNA is for you. Tapping into the personality of a luxury brand, educating myself on their aesthetic has been an absolute game changer for my personal style expression not to mention saving me a stack of cash!
Join me as we dive into the DNA and some juicy fashion history of Chanel under the creative direction of the late great Karl Lagerfeld.
I worked really hard on this one, finding all the right archival images and factual anecdotes so I really hope it inspires you, as much as it did me.

The moment you popped on the screen I thought K. Lagerfeld! And you look just as dapper. One of the most fascinating videos I’ve watched is one where Lagerfeld is going over his design journey through sketching his work and own style (from memory!) It’s an interview with Loic Prignet and is so inspiring. Loving this new series. Opshopping to recreate high fashion is my sport. ;)

Suggestions: Miuccia Prada, Valentino, A McQueen, and Gucci (contrasting Tom Ford’s with Alessandro Michele’s for instance). And maybe Simone Rocha, Margiela, or Jaquemus for a more contemporary style. So looking forward to this series! Kia ora from NZ
I love these suggestions - Vivienne, Margiela/Galliano (also the Dior/Galliano tenancy) Galliano himself and McQueen of course are already high on my list but I really like the concept of looking at Gucci in the Ford versus Alessandro era, thank you! Rocha and Jacquemus incredible too, Then there's the next generation of designers especially in the cyber punk/retro futuristic (paco rabanne inspo) and definitely the sustainability genre....so many options for a deep dive, I'll never sleep 😂 🤿📚🤓
