Hi Melissa 👋 😊 I love her!🥰 She's so cute and I love that dress on her! I have 2 Louisa Masterpiece dolls from Aston Drake and they also have the hard plastic but I pierced their ears by using a push pin to make the hole then just put an earring in.. pretty easy 😊 I too am learning to appreciate what I have and be grateful. I get to go swimming tomorrow. I've only been able to take showers or bathe in the sink. I can have a bath tomorrow but going to go swimming first. I pierced the ears on the My Life doll I gave my bonus granddaughter for Christmas year before last. Those dolls have their own earring that have a thicker post than our earring do. I used a rotary tool with a very small drill bit in it. Those dolls have very thick vinyl. I think if I had a thinner drill I could drill a smaller hole and a regular earring would work. Harbor Freight opened near us a few years ago and my stepson purchased the mini rotary tool there for under $10. I use it for many different crafts. I have no choice but to be frugal, my fixed income is very small. I get by with foodstamps, food banks, and help from family. If I can't pay for it, it doesn't get bought. Amazing to find out what things you don't have to have, like aluminium foil, paper towels, paper plates etc. The dollar stores are my best friend. I splurged on my one reborn, I won the other one in a drawing, and I purchased a $20 berenguer doll and will slowly purchase the body I need for her and the glass beads, etc that I will need. Same with the mohair and rooting tools. Maybe next year before I have it all together, but I will get there. I'm tight right now because I had to put a set of tires on credit. I will have a few months with no payments and then may have to put another set on credit. Take care and have fun. I've been making barefoot sandals for my babies. I crocheted a crocodile stich set for my preemie and used stretchy red ribbon and lady bug buttons for the other pair to go with an outfit I purchased brand new for a dollar at a thrift store a couple of years ago.
