Honestly just inserting dawncore into regular morde build still has decent bonuses to w. I had this idea to make a w power build way before when i decided to try put mordekaiser. So once i saw this video i figured out a way to sort of do it and remain useful. Max q followed by w, get whatever items you build on morde, usually i go scepter and liandry followed by dawncore and riftmaker, i think you can see where this is going, healing from riftmaker and shield and w heal power from dawncore, it works ok enough, in lower divisions that is, i can't provide knowledge from higher elo...since i'm not into any, so if anyone into upper diamond or something wants to try this, go ahead, it'd be fun if this works in higher elo, i'll continue trying to perfect it, see if i can make this build work
I think the more playable {well rounded} version of this build is early riftmaker w/ shield bash or early rylais with font of life (since that heals you solo now). Ditch the mikaels, ardent sensor, and staff of flowing water, and leave the last 2 slots for situational items, often whichever suggested early item you didn't pick, morello, liandrys, cryptbloom, or echos of helia as a spicy late item [much better with font of life + rylais, and it does make side laning nearly impossible in the late game against most split pushing champs].
been saying this since dawncore got reworked that nashor's>riftmaker>dawncore>sv>rageblade actually works on mordekaiser (just be sure to use W as a shield since the heal is closer to even but still less than the full shield) doesn't even work as good vs usual targets but it has 2 advantages: 1. you can ult the tanks, while for normal build it's considered a losing scenario (you're meant to ult a squishy target and burst them). This means some really unfortunate backline counterpicking like QSS Sivir + Yuumi + Zhonya's Lissandra won't have as strong of an effect. And autos don't miss if the enemy dashes out of your Qs. 2. because you can pressure every enemy including the tanks, you just have to able to win any 1v1 (take exhaust so you can fight the burst champions) and eventually everyone will have to build GW + defensive items. Normal Mordekaiser HAS to splitpush, and at best gets 2-3 of the enemy team to build Zhonya's/QSS. But with this build cycling through all 5 enemies in teamfights makes all 5 of them build against you. Don't pick into an ally team with super high healing and single target CC. Like a WW jg on your team will halve your contribution
Build this build, but mix in a cryptbloom so you heal after every brazil 1v1. Solves a lot of this builds flaws, as it gives enough pen to always deal some damage, and a heal that is fairly significant. An alternate rune choice is hail of blades as it means against slippery targets you can stack your passive quickly without having to hit skillshots.
in practice i honestly had alot more succes with grasp then conq. more healing and dmg. this morde build has drawn out fights and alot of times you get 2-3 graps procs each skirmish or fight. second wind also adds an insane amount of healing to the build and i like it alot more over the little armor, mr you get from the other perk. amazing video tho.

I know its been forever since this has been posted at this point, but id love to see a continuation on this somewhat! Ive always built riftmaker as a way of getting more stats/lifesteal for this build to scale off of, so Im wondering if theres a balance between good items on morde with dawncore morde here (good h/s power but bad item stats otherwise) that makes a more utilitarian morde build!
Because of the way HS power scales (more effective the more you have), this is only really good if you commit to it. The only item that fits reasonably onto normal morde is Spirit because its a good tank item in of itself. Also omnivamp doesnt benefit from HS power, but it does from Spirit's passive.
@@Hylofear Thanks for the reply! I love ur league analysis content as it usually gives me ideas to utilize in game. Knowing omnivamp doesnt scale with it is good to know, but Im still gonna attempt and see if I can do *something* with this build. Heal shield powers so fun on morde, Idk ifit actually does but I think it buffs both the shield and the heal so whenever I get chemtech drake I'm like nice very effiecent
People are sleeping on Unending Despair paired with these items. It heals for 250% of the damage dealt per enemy hit by the effect every 5 sec. This means inside of the entire enemy team you can get 5 individual heals worth 250% of the damage dealt, modified further by heal %.
If you truly want to max out amount healed and not just how full your hp bar is, you should take Hearthsteel, since it's potentially infinite hp, and therefore, you will heal even more based on your health.

(According to the wiki its birthday was actually the 5th. November 5th, 2017. :D ) "Intended" most likely, but I'd argue it's probably some kind of bug they just refuse to (or can't) fix. Because, y'know, spaghetti code a mile long. Also, there's some effects, like Fizz's E or Lissandra's R, that cause it to "pop" and not affect you at all. Because that's fun. Also, the wiki says it is a 'projectile with a fixed travel time of 1 second', but I'm calling major BS on that because I have had it take way more than that to even show up, let alone make it to me AND heal me. But Warwick has also had a bug where his Q heals him after he is already dead (love being gray screen with over 600 health on my hud) for EVER. Despite this game being worth billions of dollars a year, Riot has failed to fix many of the most glaring issues in some champions' kits simply because they are not 'pro play viable' as if that doesn't exclude 99.999% of the player base.
do 1 video for hecarim you get conQ + shieldbash revitalize and for build you go eclipse into serylda into winteraproche (if you get this 3 items with W Q you will heal 400 500 and deal a lot of dmg) then you go spirit visage into sterak for boots swifftnes for ms to chase down

Despite this game being worth billions of dollars a year, Riot has failed to fix many of the most glaring issues in some champions' kits simply because they are not 'pro play viable' as if that doesn't exclude 99.999% of the player base.
youd have to talk to the guy in question about it, idk what their issues with the rune are. Thats just their name lol
someone gonna be mad af this Friday night flex queue
do 1 video for hecarim you get conQ + shieldbash revitalize and for build you go eclipse into serylda into winteraproche (if you get this 3 items with W Q you will heal 400 500 and deal a lot of dmg) then you go spirit visage into sterak for boots swifftnes for ms to chase down
Love the video
might try something similar to this with udyr as he also has crazy healing and shielding
its just as simple as taking ignite intead of buying a full item for grievous wounds
This build would go brain dead in arena and I love it
Damn Yumi catching strays yet again💀😂
